But should you have the window net down before you’re at a complete stop? If you use some one up on the last lap and think they might be upset, can you drop the window net immediately after crossing the finish line so they get a penalty for hitting you? If the line is drawn at the window net, how was Bubba supposed to know it was down from the right side? It’s just another one of those lines in the sand that isn’t a good argument for anything

I think he was mostly fined because Bowman’s window net was down during that. A few moments ago I think he had his arm out celebrating, and say if Bubba hits him there, Alex is most definitely injured.
How is this different than what chase did?
That’s why I believe the fine was necessary, but I still believe 50k is excessive.
According to Nascar, the difference is that Chase didn’t run Daniel into the wall.

Both of their window nets was down, and the force into the wall driver side with the window net down…he should have gotten points taken away with the fine.

Money fines arent going to faze guys making the salaries they are. To get their attention, you not only have park the driver for a race, but park the CAR for a race. No drivers points, no owners points, no sponsor on TV, and the crews dont get the extra pay and possible bonus money paid at the end of the year based on the point total. I guarantee THAT will get their attention.
Oh yeah it’ll get their attention. It’ll get more sponsors to back out of the sport because teams can’t meet their contractual obligations because some dork on the internet thought the whole team should have to be punished for one guys dumb decision. Great idea for hindering the sport
I believe safety is the reason for the fine. Driver safety nets were down. Bubba put Bowman into the wall on the drivers side. Again, with the safety net down. That is extremely dangerous.
Alex Bowman’s window net was down, it was driver side into the wall, and it was pretty hard contact. It looks like Bowman’s left tires got up off the ground a little

Bubba is a repeat offender over several years. I think the fine should’ve been a lot more
They forgot the points penalty!!! For the drivers $$$$ are cheap, points are hard to come by.
These cars are very expensive and there is no reason for intentionally damaging them.
NASCAR isn’t going to forget what he pulled in Talledega a couple years ago. So if NASCAR slams him every opportunity they get no one should be surprised.
