No Dale Jr? wow
He got the money
Can we be real here for a sec? Ryan Blaney met expectations because (and no offense to Dave Blaney) his dad didn’t have an amazing cup career. Harrison Burton’s dad did.
Not just that… it’s not just Jeff Burton, but also his uncle Ward and his cousin Jeb. His dad is a 21 time cup winner, his uncle is a Daytona 500 champ, and he’s actively competed against his older cousin.
While they aren’t all the most successful drivers, having all these Burton’s not only race before you but be well known by today’s audience adds a lot of pressure.
Legacy drivers aren’t all equal, Ryan and Harrison don’t have near the pressure on themselves as Dale Jr or even Kyle Petty.
Ryan Blaney Is Awesome
Harrison to Legacy Motor Club confirmed.
Yeah, tons of pressure making it to the big time off of daddies coat tails and funding.
