Trackhouse getting that big flow of cash is beyond huge
Absolutely
@@EricEstepp I feel like they’ve been low on the resources necessary to be competitive every week
I mean they’re out of the old Ganassi shop
They wanna be bigger in NASCAR than Chip ever was
Definitely helps that they have a rapper and a private equity firm owner financially supporting them.
That team worries me with their lack of technical depth, where are they gonna develop crew chiefs and engineers? They have more drivers than cars and they surely can’t keep loaning young drivers out to other teams forever, they’re gonna need to start an in-house Xfinity or truck team
@@CKYmotovery fair point of view. Its true they need to develop there drivers in-house instead of risking the chance of them being loaned and building programs elsewhere.
“NASCAR may bring their next street race to a city near you”
*Me watching, who lively in rural Utah* “Oh boy I can’t wait to watch NASCAR race on the streets of Provo!!!”
Never say never lol
That would be interesting
Or they could go to Utah motorsports campus
He’s absolutely right. The last drivers who have been ford guys for the long haul have been ironically enough the last two BKR drivers (Cindric and Briscoe). It seems when Brad Keselowski Racing went under, Ford kinda stopped caring about Xfinity and Truck development. Literally TWO TEAMS has an Xfinity or Truck program, Haas and Front Row, and I’ll give Front Row credit because they seem to care about development as seen with Todd Gilliland, Zane Smith and right now with Layne Riggs (who may have worse luck than his dad), but they may want to consider an Xfinity program to further development. I know Todd proved that Xfinity isn’t necessarily required but it still might be a good idea for them.
The Seigs, who build their own stuff, run 4 Ford sponsored teams in Xfinity, from their shop in Darlington, SC.
@@johnlafever3162 not a cup program.
When are we going to realize when she was with Joe Williams as her crew chief she ran between 15th and 20th most races and then when Joe got fired her best finish was 25th
If a driver is going to race on Road Courses for several years and still not know what wheel hop is, or how to overcome it. They have learned nothing in all that time. Except how to have an orgasm
well, alright then
@@ChristopherWHerbertwhat?
@@JoeDoesWrestling WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?
crazy to think that just a few years ago ford had roush and penske running xfinity programs… now they have a dying SHR and a dysfunctional AM racing…
i was talking to my friends a few years ago about what they should do with deegan and i said they should keep her in arca for 2 years, trucks for 3, with a few xfinity starts sprinkled in, then maybe if she was ready start talking about an xfinity ride. I genuinely think ford’s development program getting decapitated caused her development to be even more rushed. it took her all of 2 years after signing with ford to start getting xfinity starts and another two to be full time in the series. idk how they thought that’d be successful.
I think Penske could comeback to xfinity as well as rfk!
Aswell as a basically non-existent Ryan Sieg Racing
And Ryan sieg
Beginning of video: NASCAR may be coming to a street course near you!
Me: why would they come to Wichita
What about Houston! Maybe?
Because it’s… uh… you see…
Yeah, I got nothing
So they can spend three years reconfiguring Kansas Speedway with an even bigger casino next door.
I think a SoCal street race should be the top priority if there are no other suitable tracks in the region. It’s too big of a market to not go to. Could be Long Beach, could be somewhere else. The second largest metro area in the country deserves a track closer than 4 hours away, especially a region with such a strong car culture and so many drivers hailing from there.
Around the Rose Bowl. Some twisty bits and the option of some elevation changes
I’m pretty sure Long Beach has too extreme of a sound ordinance for NASCAR to make that happen.
Go to San Diego, it would be lit
I’d love to see a street race on dirt roads in the mountains. They could call it “The Moonshine Run.”
Where she went wrong was not willing to put the work in by coming up through the ranks getting the experience she needed. She bought her way in and it showed. And now rumor is she is trying to buy her way in the Indy series
Indycar ? Yikes !!!
She raced through K&N, ARCA, TRUCKS, XFINIYT. She doesn’t have the talent to be in nascar
maybe nascar is hard
@@AllanSmith859not counting driving her dad’s hand me down stadium trucks, which were the lower division, her actual start in stock cars was in Late Models, with Toyota sponsorship, at Toyota sponsored Irwindale Speedway, driving one of the four identically prepared house cars, which she had trouble even turning left.
If she gets into Indy she’ll be gone in a year or 2.
Honestly a Long Beach triple header with NASCAR, Indycar, and IMSA would be fire. Who agrees?
NASCAR would expect to be the headliner
I think it would be great.
Belle Isle too!
I’ll be streaming LIVE tonight at 8 pm with David Land, The Iceberg, and DannyB. Set a reminder here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gEdJu3lI8c
Hey I might be able to watch you and the gang tonight after all my house has power again Yaya! I might watch two nwp episodes tonight and maybe may watch the races and a half I missed in recent weeks. I feel much better now.
Yes ford won this past weekend but ford is a dumpster fire
Why no Darian?
This is absolutely true: of all racecar drivers trying to make it from amateur to professional, 99% don’t make it, for a variety of reasons. Deegan’s case is the norm.
Ford’s problem with the truck series is a lack of seats. Thorsport has 3 of their drivers locked in, which means that Ford essentially has 2 trucks for prospects to go and be in seriously competitive equipment
I’m from Pittsburgh and recently I’ve been making a couple fun little layouts on google maps for a potential street race. Something worth noting is that we already have a street race called the Vintage Grand Prix. It takes place in Schenley Park every year. It’s not downtown but it’s right there. That also might be better logistically so the streets downtown don’t have to shut down. I’ve made a couple fictional layouts for downtown too. It’s super fun to dream that stuff up for your city lol.
Would love to see a layout where they race through the Fort Pitt tunnels and on the bridge into the city lol
Feds wouldn’t allow shutdown of Parkway West for that; but you’re correct, would be interesting. Schenley Park would need lots of work for INDYCAR, NASCAR, or any other higher-speed series. Too much to make it worthwhile. The idea is intriguing, nonetheless.
Eric….many years ago, IndyCar raced on the streets of Denver. It was a world class clusterflop.
If NASCAR does decide to go to Denver, racing through Lower Downtown Denver would be spectacular.
Racing by Coors Field, Ball Arena and Empower Field at Mile High. Plus the mountains….you get it.
My prediction is because Hailie still has the ties to ford and she is running the Trans Am All Star race this weekend, she will make a switch to Sports Cars/Endurance racing. Ford just brought the Mustang to GT3 and has the GT4 program as well. So I could see her making a full time switch to IMSA.
I agree with Harvick. With what has happened in the last 5 years for Hailie, once she left Toyota to go to Ford, it was all downhill from there.
Look, both are good to a certain extent, but here are the number of teams for each manufacturer (and which ones are successful):
All the Ford Teams in the NASCAR Cup Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. Team Penske
2. RFK Racing
3. Front Row Motorsports
4. Stewart-Haas Racing
5. Rick Ware Racing
6. Wood Brothers Racing
All the Ford Teams in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. Stewart-Haas Racing
2. RSS Racing
3. AM Racing
All the Ford Teams in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. Thorsport Racing
2. Front Row Motorsports
3. Reaume Brothers Racing
Total – 12 Teams
All the Toyota in the NASCAR Cup Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. Joe Gibbs Racing
2. 23XI Racing
3. Legacy Motor Club
All the Toyota in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. Joe Gibbs Racing
2. Sam Hunt Racing
All the Toyota in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (Successful teams are towards the top of the list) –
1. TRICON Garage
2. Halmar Friesen Racing
3. Hill Motorsports
Total – 8 Teams
Despite Ford having 6 Top-Tier Teams, 2 Mid-Tier Teams, and 4 Lower-Tier Teams in all three series, the performances of the teams don’t always live up to the expectations.
In contrast, Toyota has 4 Top-Tier Teams, 2 or 3 Mid-Tier Teams, and 1 Lower-Tier Team in all three series, which is distributed better for fewer teams that’ve performed better than expectations over the last 5 years. Such teams like Halmar Friesen Racing and Hill Motorsports in the Truck Series are good examples, despite having limited resources and funding at times.
