Is Jeff Gordon the GOAT?
I predict Christopher Bell will win this weekend at Indianapolis motor speedway
Nope!
Yes
Yes
Yes.
Part of my Indianapolis Display is full of 1994 memorabilia. From a tall mug to a 1:24 pace car to a 1:24 and 1:64 of the promo car and a souvenir race program with the ticket inside. Was my birth year so it only makes sense, plus my man won it!
It was very fitting that Gordon won the first Brickyard, he grew up in open wheel in Indiana and that was special for the fans there.
Finally, one of these that make sense
We kids didn’t know the 1994 Brickyard 400
He wasn’t a rookie 30 years ago… his rookie season was 93
The only man with five Brickyards
I used to know someone that had a 1994 Richard Petty Brickyard 400 t shirt.
I was able to be there when Ricky Rudd won. It was truly an unbelievable experience. I had never before, nor ever since, seen that many people in one place. If only NASCAR could return to that level of competition…
Cool to see Jeff standing where I walked only weeks ago!
Skipped school? My school had a field trip to a practice day. The entire school went!
2.5 mile paperclip? It’s a perfect rectangle.
Before NASCAR raced at Indy, they ran on Indy’s cousin out west in the form of Ontario Motor Speedway, today nothing is left of the track just like Riverside
Bob is the Goat
So glad that road course is taking a back seat for a year at least. With this track it will be interesting to see how this car performs on it. Hoping it’s close to the mile and a half package. Pocono was quite boring so we might be in for some of that.
Bob I can’t help but notice you throwing a few hand signs. Yeah that’s right bob someone noticed. Salute your overloads.
After The 1994 Season Jeff Gordon would go on to score One of The Greatest Careers in NASCAR History that saw an additional 91 Victories & 4 Championships in 1995, 1997, 1998 & 2001 (He would have had an additional 3 Championships in 2004, 2007 & 2014 If The Chase/Playoffs were never a thing) before The Conclusion of His Driving Career in 2015 from a Full-Time Perspective & in 2016 from an Overall Perspective in which All earned him an induction into The NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2019.
He now serves as Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports.
Im honestly surprised the IMS museum doesn’t have Jeff’s car or a spot for that Inaugural 400:
