On the 30 year anniversary of the first Brickyard 400 the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the oval with a crown jewel event. Can the red hot Fords keep their streak going? Will the Toyotas take over again at the Brickyard? Or can the Chevys re-establish themselves on top?

I was 45 min behind streaming on youtube channel and missed the end when they switched to USA and It didn’t switch over for recording.
I just finished watching my recording, the NBC highlights on YouTube have the final 2 laps, very lame how they keep changing channels
I DVR every race and watch them about 45 mins to an hour behind (purely so I can skip commercials). Pro tip – I also DVR whatever comes on USA at the scheduled end time of any race that airs on big-NBC (6pm today for example). I have to spend a few seconds deleting unwanted episodes of Law & Order when the race doesn’t change channels. But it sure comes in handy when it does.
Was a good race until the end when it became a joke. 5 jumps restart when the 12 became the control car. Nascar looked the other way. 41 wrecks with 2 laps to go and won’t move. When the 5 pass the line with one lap, then they decide to throw the yellow. If the 45 was leading, the yellow would have come out instantly. Nascar always does this when a chevy is leading at the end of the race. There are plenty of examples throughout the years(2016 Championship, 2023 Talladega).
The ending was bad but the race was garbage up until the last 20 laps or so
And I didn’t see a big deal with the restart and if anyone outside my guy (MTJ) was going to win today I’m glad it was the 5.
He (along with reddick) were at least able to pass up cars near the end of the race. Up until then it was just a race off of pit road
@JuliusMartin-td6nj that’s what I’m saying, of all drivers to about, people are complaining about the one guy that actually made this race watchable
The cope is so real lol the 12 was confused as to what to do and had no gas like are you even watching?
I agree with you
Once again great racing at the Brickyard. Yesterdays Xfinity was fantastic one of the better ones this year. And todays race was awesome…Congrats to Yung Money and Hendrick Motorsports.
NBC needs to stop switching the channel at the end, its infuriating, they do this too often. If a CUP race is going to be broadcast they should broadcast the full thing on the channel they say they will until the race concludes.
People complaining about the ending are just pissed that Larson won, and I’m not even a fan of Larson. I don’t know what you want NASCAR to do. Ryan Preece can’t move and he’s right smack on the track. They did the right thing waiting, and had Preece not moved from the grass back up to the track, this race would have finished normally.
I’ve seen cautions thrown before a car even come to a stop, hell earlier this year I believe it was Kansas bell started to spin, they threw the caution and he caught it and kept going. But in this case Preece spins, smashes into the wall, all four tires are flat and he’s sitting in the middle of the track and NASCAR waits for the field to do almost a complete lap around Indy before the caution. That’s what people are mad about. It was literally the EXACT same situation as Pocono last year when Hamlin won and everyone was bitching about that.
Right,I have no problem with the finish, but what I do have a problem is that NASCAR officials taking too long to throw the caution on the cluster spin either throw out the caution or let them race to the checkerflag.
The last thing I wanted was more caution laps, more restarts, and more chaos. I was glad they swallowed the whistle on this one.
the finish probably wouldn’t have happened if nascar had a limited 3 attempts again
maybe then they wouldn’t have had the incentive to give us such an underwhelming finish there
honestly I though this race was pretty average until the last 31 laps
then the fuel mileage made it really interesting and we were set up to have a classic finish
and then the KFB wreck ruined everything
I genuinely don’t wanna think about this race ever again to be honest
Exactly!! This is why I have pushed for a maximum of 3 OT restarts!!
Kyle Larson would have won the race whether or not the yellow flag came out
Then they should’ve let him win legitimately, that caution was really late, I think they didn’t want to spend too much time on USA network
This was a garbage race which fittingly got a garbage finish! Reddick grabbed the lead and led all of Stage 1, Wallace grabbed the lead and led all of Stage 2. Brad got the lead and led every lap until he ran out if fuel. I don’t think there was a single pass for the lead outside of restarts all day? Intermediate aero package with Superspeedway engines doesn’t work… period!
And people act like a caution would have changed the result. Control car and or leader couldnt be passed so whats it matter.
NHRA stayed on FOX for the whole event going 1hr and 40min beyond the TV window. Great job NBC. Ready for the Olympic break?
And did you notice that the broadcast cut out and went to Black?
The brickyard should be oval or nothing for gen 7
lajoie crew chief signed death warrant for 2025 guy sucks. stacking poop piles
mr h is a convicted felon over honda accord scandal
so u only repy to paying customers?
whats dirty kyle ran them down
as long as NASCAR is showing favoritism to Hendrick and not the toyotas, majority of fans will be happy. let the Fords win some too
DVRd the race. Sat here for hours watching then didn’t get to see anything after the red flag. Absolute BS.
Same here but at last minute got to switch to USA channel to see the finish NBC needs to get there ish together miss me with that interrupt special report BS.
It’s really weird the differences in opinion on this race. I actually loved the race it was all sorts of dramatic but had some good racing that got overlooked. The ending. .. left such a sour taste it’s impossible to taste the whole race really as one. For me
First 157 laps – 6/10
Everything after – 2/10
