During the Olympics break, I’m glad that there’s a Nascar event happening in Brasil, and will have Suarez in the race as the invited driver and its also post wedding. Speaking of which I wonder if he would give Trackhouse their 2nd Nascar International win

Let’s just hope the 99 can finish in the top 10. He has been garbage most the season and Brazil might expose him even more.

We really had Ryan Preece replace Cole Custer in the 41, only for him to now replace Preece next season. Really an ironic Silly Season

Also he is talented in Modifieds, Trucks, and Xfinity. But I feel like he’s one of those drivers that can’t adapt in Cup. And it’s a shame that his full-time Cup career is a huge struggle.

Personally, I hope he does Xfinity.

But this is a good way for the Custer 41 merch that sold years back to be relevant. That’s the only reason I can imagine for it to be the 41

@@ReggieFairfieldI don’t think so, Custer runs his entire career with the 00 (I remember him at the Trucks), and 0 is the iconic number in HAAS before Stewart era, also the 41 just started with Kurt Busch in 2014.
I could be wrong, but 41 is more associated with Kurt than Custer, Preece and Suarez

@@miketwotwentyyes the number was used previously by CGR, but in terms of SHR it only began in 2014. they should create their own identity rather than the current and soon to be defunct SHR

Adding Herbst to the Toyota family puts all the Monster drivers (Gibbs, Reddick, and Herbst) under the same manufacturer, and essentially in the same team. I’ve got to imagine Monster would like that arrangement, would make everything a lot easier

I’d rather confront a guy after a race with an adult conversation than have to do it over phone or text. I don’t think it matters it was in front of the camera.

Reply
@tb4769 July 22, 2024 at 9:30 pm

Exactly and why would the drivers care if it is front of the camera.

Reply
@IndianaSimracer77 July 23, 2024 at 2:11 am

An adult conversation for something so minor would’ve come from within. Heim had no reason to be THAT pissed.

I was at the race. Didn’t see the initial rub but definitely saw Heim take swipes at Eckes under the yellow.

Heim will either mature and become great, or his temper will ruin him. Fans are already displeased by his behavior. He embarrassed his sponsors and team at Phoenix last year. Just needs to mature as he gains experience and he’ll definitely become quite a star.

Reply
@opperawesome1 July 23, 2024 at 7:31 am

@IndianaSimracer77  I agree that he has the potential to mature and manage the tempers better, regardless of how angry he was. Most young drivers overreact. At least he didn’t throw a punch or hook him this time lol. That’s where (IMO) sponsors start getting pissed.

My overall point is that call/text messages make it feel similar to “breaking up with your girlfriend on the phone”. Better face-to-face.

Reply
@piggythebeast2635 July 22, 2024 at 7:18 pm

How is talking to another driver immediately after a race about an incident a concern for Corey Heim, plenty of drivers do it its just that this time its between the top two contenders so of course there would be cameras. Oh no he made people more interested in the truck series because he was mad and wanted to talk to the guy who cut down his tire. Maybe we should be criticizing Christian Eckes instead for causing the incident in the first place.
