I see a penalty coming up.
A meaningless one so they can say they took action while simultaneously condoning this behavior.
Please make the right decision
They won’t. It’s NASCAR. It’s run by clowns.
Wait till Tuesday
@@Lowlife-jc8us for what? A verbal warning?
@@Lowlife-jc8us got what? A stern talking to?
You know what needs to be done NASCAR
Yeah, promote and market this as if it makes the sport look legitimate.
Go to Montreal and Brazil
@@Lowlife-jc8us they prefer real racing.
Whine all you want. The playoffs/overtime finish encourage these shenanagins. If you truly want to eleminate 99% of these cases, get rid of the playoffs to go back to a season long points format and eleminate overtime
Dillon deserved this win, had a 3 second lead with two to go before the overtime finish forced him to do this. Cut it however you want, this win he deserved
What if they take out your favourite driver from hendrick motorsports?
Stop complaining gawd
@@cr1steps it happens multiple times a season that a driver dumps someone else to win, don’t act like this is nothing new
@@AImpatientMan this isn’t bumping and dumping a driver. This is dive bombing where any legitimate series would suspend a driver for being so reckless.
@@STC987 NASCAR fans are just as inconsistent as the sanctioning body. You guys whined that the short tracks sucked/the drivers are stale and now that someone did a crazy move you are saying he needs suspended. Cry harder
There’s still a NASCAR?
There are still dumb internet comments? What is this 2015?
This is why dirt is so much better!
I mean, Mr. Sawyer, if this doesn’t rise to the level to require a penalty, then that’s a dangerous precedent. If one of the racers at the track where I’m a steward did this, I expect they would be banned for life.
But local tracks are far more legitimate than WWE on wheels. NASCAR is trending down over the past 20 years for many reasons and it’s not lack of interest in racing. It’s lack of interest in gimmick racing.
Chill man, this is not a decision you want to make lightly. Let then talk about the best course of action, then you can critique their solution if it doesn’t feel adequate.
The drivers at your local track probably can’t afford to replace their cars, so it would make sense to ban things like this. The equipment in NASCAR gets replaced fairly easily.
That is exactly spot on and correct. I worked in motorsports for many yrs (NASCAR, Cart, IndyCar, IMSA) this sets a horrible precedent, and I can think what our chief steward Wally Dallenbach senior would do and say to competitors that did something like this. This puts Beaux Barfield in a horrible position for the France family in IMSA. I personally know Elton & Patty , he is a level headed person. Elton and his wife have made a living in Nascar for 30+ years and he’s in a unique position because he strapped himself into these machines and risk his life so he has the insight ….question is does the France family let him rule as he should. Tuesday should be interesting
This is why fans had different opinions on the finish of Indianapolis, just follow the rule book if it hurts a team like it did Blaney, because Brad somehow thought he could make it on fuel. They followed the rules it benefitted Larson and didn’t for Blaney. Inconsistency doesn’t help grow your fan base. Just ask baseball, would say the NFL but that would be wrong, even though their officiating is just like NASCAR let’s swallow the whistle or caution/penalty decision for a green finish.
RIGHT UP AGAINST A LINE?!?!
Words of a clown.
Like… what is the line then?
LMAO that crossed a line, made another lap to cross it again. Dillon should be SUSPENDED at minimum.
Line was crossed
Let him keep the win. But remove his playoff credit. We cant have drivers being so blatantly obvious, wrecking someone to win to get in.
Didn’t you drive the 27 car?
Don’t do it! If you do. Why now, since Dale Sr never did. The car then were lot more faster and no safer barriers! Don’t like what you see don’t watch!
Dale, Sr would ate Joey up!
100%
Nah, that’s just short-track racin’!
“win and you’re in” needs to go. it’s long overstayed its welcome.
How did the 11 finish 2nd when the 45 and the 23 passed him at the finish?
Probably because of yellow.
This is dale earnhardt move and this is nascar that everyone loves the see
100% Except from “new age” NASCARites.
They didn’t take away his win or give Dale Sr. a penalty when he did that to Terry Labonte at Bristol 2 different times. The #3 didn’t mean to hit him I am sure, he just got into the corner to hot, it was just a racing deal, isn’t this why you watch NASCAR for controversary.
We have seen drivers take out single cars many times before on a last lap to win. show me someone taking out 2 cars in individual wrecks on the last lap. Never even seen Dale do that especially at a short track.
@@jjmckay6man1 I thought it was extraordinary quick thinking and awesome racing.
Dillon’s move has nothing to do with proper racing. I hope Nascar will take the win away from him. He did not even try to overtake Joey.
