Please show me the clip where he comes from 5 car lengths back, to the point where he is literally going to miss the corner, to take someone out. Then right hooks yet another car into the wall because it was going to pass him. I’ll wait

Product of the car, the format and the teams needing stay viable by winning at all cost. Old School Gen X Fan from the 80’s and its hard to watch a short track be boring for 90% of the race. Okay side by side but still hard to pass. All we hear is speculation from commentators for 80% of the race on tires and fuel. Cut the bottom 6 inches off the noses of these damn things and go racing.

Respectfully as a “new fan” since 2000, it was probably one of the worst ways to see someone win a race. It is worse than Vickers wrecking Johnson and Earnhardt to get his first win, a race this reminded me of so much.

Reply
@BladeBrigade7 August 12, 2024 at 10:10 pm

I’ve seen Logano wreck someone blocking or taking away his line when he was trying to pass. that’s different from just running in the back of someone who just out raced you. what Dillon did is what anyone could do in any race to the car in front of them

@@Number1TravisScottGlazer Have to disagree. Kyle has a better video angle here, and it looks like, to me, at 1:10 that Austin came down a bit, but Denny went much further up in comparison. Probably just the normal drift up the track on a turn, but sure exaggerated it.

Reply
@Number1TravisScottGlazer August 13, 2024 at 4:42 am

@@Culdcepter There is an animation that shows exactly where the preferred racing line was, and Denny was almost a car length below it to avoid the spinning #22. Dillon on the other hand comes down the track, crosses the racing line and hits Denny, proving that the contact was intentional. There is also leaked spotter audio of Dillon’s spotter telling him to “do whatever it takes” and “wreck him”.
