The fact that Austin Dillon united JOEY LOGANO, DENNY HAMLIN and their fans against him is honestly impressive
I used to dislike Hamlin, I changed my mind last year.
@@fido139same here
He’s the biggest voice this sport has
I don’t like Denny Hamlin at all however that was a flat out dirty move.
I’m a logano fan, and hamlin has been my 2nd favorite driver since last year
All cry baby’s . If they do it’s ok
I really hate this situation. I wish Stenhouse didn’t wreck Preece. We’d be celebrating Austin Dillon’s best performance ever.
I bet he just hates Dillon as much as everyone else.
This right here. Anybody in Austin’s shoes would have done the same, he performed so well all day and he wasn’t going to let one mistake take away what is likely RCR’s last and maybe only chance at a playoff spot this year.
NASCAR should revoke Wrecky Spinhouse’s racing license!
@@polycube868 no they shouldn’t remove Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s license. Stenhouse didn’t mean to wreck Ryan Preece.
@@mightyminotaur5056 he ran such a good race up to lap 398. I literally hate this drama. This would’ve been a HUGE win for him and the entire sport. I HATE he won this way. This sucks.
Knowing Nascar, Dillon could face anything from a slap on the wrist to a live pre-race execution decided by fan vote
This might be my favorite comment on this channel!!!
“To the gulliotine!”
To the gillerteen!
Seeing as how 95% of fans hate Hamlin or Logano and 90% of those hate both of them, Dillon will be the Hero of NASCAR for the rest of the year and then announce his retirement.
“Idk what we are doing anymore.”
This should have been said back in 2014 after Newman fenced Larson on the last lap at Phoenix to get to the Final 4.
This should have been penalized & admonished in 2014.
What did people think would happen over time since this “championship system” was announced in 2014?
Blame the system, not the drivers who don’t get policed…
Yes. After this happened in 2014, NASCAR should have said that anybody who does a move like this again will be credited with a last place finish. And then they should have followed through if it happened again.
I don’t agree with people saying to take away Austin Dillon’s win here. They have allowed people doing whatever it takes to win for so long that they have sent a message to drivers that this is ok
The fact that you can run like hot garbage for 25 races and then have a lucky night that can change your entire season is still unbelievably stupid
Wasn’t luck, he ran up there all race!!
100%. This playoff system is BS. Drivers like Truex who has a decent, consistent season are going to get cheated out of a playoff run because of a $hit sandwich driver like Dillon literally intentionally wrecked other cars for a win.
@@user-lu7uu2np3j 1 fantastic race out of 25 by no means should qualify you for the playoffs.
@@user-lu7uu2np3j doesn’t excuse intentionally wrecking two drivers who gave him no issues all race. I’m all for “rubbing is racing” but this was blatant. His spotter was also on the radio telling him to wreck Hamlin.
I never would’ve believed, Jesse Love of all people would be the most likable driver at RCR.
RCR most liked drivers in order:
1. Jesse Love
2. Kyle Busch
3. Austin Dillon
4. Austin Hill
You gotta like Busch though! Who changes there bandage with scissors after a pit stop haha that was epic!@@timpowell1429
Maybe I am forgetting something but did love do something wrong?
@@idkIamBORED idk but he has no enemies and having a better temper then his teammate this year who is 30 I think and Love being 19 the same age as me
They “love” him
Anybody remember Ricky Rudd getting the black flag for intentionally spinning Davey Allison for the win at Sonoma?
I was there.
And NASCAR took that win away from Ricky Rudd.
Why can’t we have that yesterday (black flag the winner)?
Yea to bad this sports fanbase is dumb, yall seem to be forgetting Nascar got clowned for that decision? So why would yall expect it to have stuck? Very odd. It’s like how yall complained about Matt in 03 now we have a mess we have with the points. Once again the fans ruining the sport is all I see here.
I wouldn’t be shocked if NASCAR responded to this like how they responded to the Hail Melon, essentially being like, “Okay, that was crazy and memorable and we’ll have it on all our playoff promos, but maybe one of these is enough.”
That’s possible
I think possibly encumbering the win makes most since like they did to joey in 2017 when they took his playoff eligibility but keeping the win.
A new rule/rule change is gonna be way too hard to officiate fairly
Why is it that ad gets into it with the big league names while Kyle Busch has the beef with Ricky stenhouse
Why is it that Stenhouse gets into it with big league names while Hamlin and Logano have beef with AD
@@jasonprice1755 simple answer: ad and steakhouse get into it with everybody
The problem with all this is, NASCAR doesn’t set precedence. Might as well flip a coin at this point
Reddick looked like he was about to dump Dillon after they crossed the finish line.
45 are a racer.
He should have tbh but yeah bad idea to get suspended if you are in the playoffs
https://youtu.be/PqFKL0QBN6o
If only Dillon could get Target to sponsor him next race…
I think Nascar is going to give the spotter a vacation!
Honestly I don’t think Dillion even seen Hamlin when he was trying to get out from behind Logano.
Dillon gets the blame on this, because he was running a much lower line for his dumping of Logano. So once again, Dillion put himself in that spot for using a D-Bag move to being with.
Eric the difference or your examples is that Austin flat out wrecked 2 cars on purpose for the win. Unacceptable
This is 100% on Nascar for letting drivers get away with this go on for long and drivers will take it as far as you can! 2nd problem for Nascar is you win, and you are in for playoff, drivers deep in the point have nothing to lose by doing this. Danny Hamlin put it best in his post-race interviews. I do not like what Auston did, but I do understand why he did it, because it was his once chance to change what has been God awful season for him and RCR racing! I have been watching the sport since 1977 and lot of recent change is what lead to what happed Sunday night in Richmond
They should take his playoff spot
Nascar needs to at lease do one season with the Winston points format just to see if all this bs goes down a bit

The booing was at Austin Dillion, we weren’t shown Joey Logano interview live on the screen at the track. I was able to hear his interview over MRN and minute later that interview was shown to us on screen
