crazy that corey flipped twice with 45 winning both times

What happened to that system that was supposed to raise the cars up to allow them to drive back with flat tires? Obviously it didn’t work. Just something else to cost the teams more money
That’s an optional system, Michigan was the first race where it was allowed, and it doesn’t appear that Kaulig opted to install it. Photos of the 16 pre-race don’t show the air fitting in the corner of the driver’s side window.
It’s not mandatory and most of the teams didn’t install it. The 16 was one of those that didn’t install it.
None of the teams that had it installed blew tyres
@@5tig_ Logano did. He didn’t need to use it though to get back to pit road. The cars with it installed were the 2, 12, 22, 7, 14, 41, 11, 23, 45, and 21

Man, Lajoie snapped over FAST. So much for the roof flaps.
There was a head wind at the time, winds from the north at 10-20 MPH, gusting to 30.
They did say something about the flaps being ineffective over 205 airspeed, and the air was moving probably faster than that due to the car moving at like 175-180, along with that headwind (the numbers are mph)
Roof flaps can only do so much when the entire car acts like a wing because of the floor.

When you make the bottom of the car basically an airplane wing is there any wonder why they take flight. They took the downforce away from the top of the car and added it to the bottom. Works well until it doesn’t.
Downforce doesn’t matter when the car is sliding sideways…
This was a great race
The Corey Lajoie flip was the most unexpected thing to happen on a track like Michigan and the finish was great

after what happened in xfinity, for me anyway, that flip was pretty damn predictable

NASCAR, i love watching you guys, even when i go to a track i feel so good, but sunday when it rained, i was devastated. My dad had told me we couldnt go on monday, so please nascar this would be a huge favor, can you refund me and my dad’s tickets for next year?
