Tyler Reddick has been in the top 5 in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings for most of the 2024 season. Reddick has the most top 5s, the most top 10s, and the best average finish in Cup. Yet with only his second win of the season coming at Michigan this past Sunday people are only just now starting to realize the driver of 23XI’s #45 Toyota is a true championship favorite. Tyler Reddick is going to be a problem.

Do you think Tyler Reddick is the championship favorite?
Of course he’s likely gunna be the one to watch in the playoffs
Yes
2 wins, the most top 5s and top 10s, and the best average finish. I’d say yes.
no Larson, Elliott, Byron and Bell as championship favorites
Championship 4: Reddick, Buescher, Bowman, Keselowski
Edit: I hope yall look for karlcalvert046’s comment regarding the Cutline. I know it’s a longer read, but it’s very interesting to see what the cutline would be like.
If he wins the championship I’ll buy a donkey
As Eric points out, he has a 3.8(?) average finish the past few races, he’s my pick to win the championship
3.2
I’ve been a Reddick fan since 2019 and I knew that he’d be a championship contender one day. And just like Harvick, leaving RCR was the best thing to happen to his career.
For sure he may not be the “coolest” or most personable driver to pick as a favorite, but he’s super humble and a real normal guy who’s a hell of a driver on any track. I picked him as one of my guys when I got back into the sport 4 or so years ago
@theacgkid I know it was a while ago, but welcome back anyways
You know Richard Childress is steady kicking himself for letting Reddick go. Richard should at a minimum offered Reddick a 2 year contract at the time or most likely a 3 year.
People tend to forget this was suppose to be his first season with 23xi if he stayed with rcr in 22 and 23 Reddick made more progress in his 2nd year with a new team than where he was at with rcr in his 3 years just shows that rcr was holding him back leaving rcr was the best decision ever now he’s arguably a championship threat and in position to win the regular season championship
Meantime, Kyle Busch is rethinking his RCR decision after so many DNFs
Reddick by far has been one of the most consistent drivers, he legit has a chance to make the final four
Something that needs to be mentioned is since reddik started winning he has won multiple races in every season and lets not even mention the number of wins hes al.sot gotten
This kid is definitely a future champion and hall of famer
Not just Tyler Reddick, look at CBell. I think those 2 are sleepers for the championship
Christopher Bell made it in the final four 2 years in a row. I think it will be 3 in a row.
Reddick, Byron, Bell, Larson is probably the championship 4 this season.
Reddick, Bell, Hamlin, and Larson for my final 4
Y’all are overlooking Blaney and Elliott
@@JGR4LIFE20I’m trusting Blaney to make it more than Hamlin. Ford will definitely ramp up their support for the 12
Tyler Reddick definitely is a championship contender. But if it were still a full season points format, the battle that he has with Elliott, Hamlin, and Larson would be one for the ages. But because of NASCAR’s push for entertainment and not be a legitimate motorsport, that will never happen.
Thank Matt Kenseth for ruining it in 2003
@@S.K.R.E.Inc. Matt Kenseth didn’t ruin anything. NASCAR ruined it themselves. They should’ve acted like adults instead of freaking out.
Correct. Absolutely correct.
@@S.K.R.E.Inc.i’m new to NASCAR(2nd year watching) , what did kenseth do?
God, give it a rest
Matt Kenseth 2003 vibes
Hopefully that means the points format changes again should he win. The Matt Kenseth rule, updated to Tyler Reddick standards
There’s no such thing as a championship favorite with this system but championship 4 favorite yes. This is by far his most consistent cup season yet.
I want to argue that so badly bc of how good Reddick has been, but unfortunately you’re 1000% correct. lol
Currently my championship 4 prediction is
11 Hamlin
5 Larson
12 Blaney
45 Reddick
Here is mine
5 Larson
9 Elliot
20 Bell
45 Reddick
Larson Bell are obvious but Chase and Tyler have been underrated
the 23XI cars are just incredibly fast, if 2nd half season bubba can show up more throughout the season, both of them are gonna be super dangerous.
Wallace could have very easily have one yesterday, if he didn’t get caught up in the wreck with Larson. For sure a top 5.
They are unofficial 5th and 6th Gibbs cars. Hope for their sake Joe doesn’t bankrupt them with the alliance like he did Furniture Row and Levine.
But the thing with this championship format, peaking now means nothing. As a Byron fan….see last year.
And truex the year before
At the beginning of the year I picked reddick to win 5 races, all in the summer time, so I expected this, and I’m happy people are recognizing him as a championship favorite. Also NWP 400 gonna be also!
Tyler Reddick leaving Richard Childress Racing for 23XI Racing was the best decision of his career. He’s always been a really talented driver.
This shouldn’t be news to anybody that actually watches Nascar. While everybody has been drooling over Kyle Larson and Willy B, I’ve been saying that Reddick and CBell are becoming top superstars. Maybe it’s because they drive Toyotas and not Chevy’s.
When Dale Jr. retired, I chose to follow Reddick bc he seemed like a good dude and he could wheel a car. My wife and I got to meet him in Wilkes at an Xfinity store for the Pocono race weekend this year. Dude did a question and answer session and actually took the time to speak to everyone and genuinely answer and converse with everyone again while signing autographs. That’s someone worth cheering for; he deserves all the success, accolades, and a larger following.
Anybody that calls Reddick fans bandwagons have no idea what we’ve been through.
