What do you think of SVG going to Cup AND driving the 88?
Sigma
i think its cool
HUGE W
HOLY SHOOT JR CAR IS BACK
I would say yes for next Dale Earnhardt Jr from Kiwi driver
Wait- Roadbuster’s leaving Hendrick and Larson!?
I was surprised when they announced the number, But I love it. I expect him to be one of the greats on road courses.
Let’s gooo! Although 88 is an interesting number choice, I thought HMS owned the trademark on that. I would’ve figured he’d stay with 97 since that’s his super cars number.
They only own the font
Yeah I think it’s totally available
Yeah, Hendrick is still sour over the font used, considering who used it from 2008-17
He ran the 88 over in super cars too
S.K.R.E at least they aren’t Teresa level awful
LFG!!! #88 is back on a cup car, although this time not on a Hendrick car driven by Dale Jr or Alex Bowman, but driven by Trackhouse’s SVG.
If only the font went with him
You all just continue to forget Trackhouse was built around Suarez.
It was initially, but Chastain has better results since they’ve been at Trackhouse. Double the wins. A Championship 4 appearance. Suarez may be the foundation, but he’s not the franchise.
Still not sure what adding SVG to the Cup team has to do with Trackhouse being built around Suarez though.
@@djbatchler4597 same idea with 23XI. Bubba Wallace is very good, yes. But Tyler Reddick is the current points leader, and is a serious championship threat. I wouldn’t be surprised if in 2-3 years they have to drop bubba for a new star, say william sawalich
Who’s getting the better results?
@treehouse98 I could see MJ and Denny getting Rajah Caruth from Hendrick…I think if he stays in the Hendrick development program he’s in the 48, we already heard Justin Hailey was almost signed to the 48 before Bowman won Chicago, I don’t think he’s the long-term future of the 48 car.
@@zaymclovin4178 need me to remind you why pitbull is investing in this team?
I Think svg is going to drive the 88 to a lot of wins on road courses next year
Same
It would be great to see SVG take over a iconic number in NASCAR
Dale Jarrett is my all time favorite driver and seeing the #88 comeback fills me with joy there even might be a slim chance with Trackhouse sponsor Worldwide Express we could get a true DJ Throwback like race the truck or the 2003 UPS Paint scheme with the yellow lightning bolts! Good News
According to sources, there will be five road courses in the regular season next year. I expect him to win 1 or 2 of them
I think it’s inevitable that Connor Zillisch will replace Daniel Saurez
I think that’s why they only gave Suarez a one year deal.
I think that’s why they only gave Suarez a one year deal.
Probably
Guessing Hendrick this time doesn’t want the Dale Jr font used
It’s the same font as the 99
They have their own fonts, use your thinking skills
Whilst I like many expected him to use the 97 again, Trackhouse going for the 88 actually isn’t too unusual. As that was ALSO one the numbers SVG used in Supercars, not just 97.
He never used 88 in Supercars, that’s more associated with Jamie Whincup. He did use 888 in the 2021 Bathurst 1000 though. Other than that, in Supercars he used 97 while at Tekno Autosport and Triple Eight, 9 at Stone Brothers Racing and 021 at Team Kiwi Racing.
I’m surprised
SVG has not been nicknamed “sliced bread version 2” yet.
I think trackhouse using the 88 for SVG is two fold. One it’s a number that many popular drivers have run over the years. But there is one some are missing. The 88 is the alternate or partner numbers to SVGs old team. Triple Eight Racing. The 888 can’t be used in NASCAR but the 88 is nice link back to it.
love watching somebody from the v8 supercars who ive seen for many years getting his big break. The whole question of how was this seat earned so soon, hes in his mid to late 30’s now and adapts fast to new courses and equipment so I think he has just as much of a chance as anybody, he might never be a nascar cup champion but think as he learns to race ovals he may be a recognizable face, build a solid fan base and finally get more international recognition before his retirement whenever that may come. Really happy for him, good luck
