Said perfectly by both of you – better situational awareness.

Ross stop the “ I’m sorry” tour. We want a change of behavior.

Idiots Ross did nothing wrong except expect the guy ahead of him to drive at race speed

Well stated.

No, we dont. Chastain is one of the few drivers keeping Earnhardt’s spirit alive on the track.

Lin Hunnicutt May 3, 2023 at 3:37 pm

@RanndomUndead chastain has a lot to learn before he will ever be like Earnhardt.

JROD May 3, 2023 at 1:15 pm

On Race Hub you see Chastain go from behind the 3 car moving over behind the 15. That’s the least you guys could do is show where Chastain was at on exit of turn 4. This doesn’t show the entire incident. He should have stayed behind the 3 car.

Why? The 15 was passing the 3 the inside lane was the passing lane. He even said he slowed down for some dumb reason

Took him deep in the playoffs and he’s the current points leader. Gonna be hard to convince him to change what he’s doing. Drivers giving it back or Nascar stepping in if it gets out of control will be the only difference maker I believe.

I think Ross needs to stop saying that he is “sorry”. On the other hand though, he is racing for himself and if you don’t move for me I will wreck you attitude. The Intimidator raced that way, I know it was a different time and Ross won’t make any friends but his car owner and sponsors don’t have a problem with his racing.

Love it!!! People used to get mad at Dale Sr back in the day for very similar things. Instead of an apology Ross needs to tell um to get the hell out of the way. That’s one of those things that used to make nascar great!

Dale would move them, not straight up wreck them.

Reply
Bill T Marchi May 3, 2023 at 3:18 pm

@PhilAlmighty obviously you never watched Dale race. That’s the only thing he would do. Then say he only meant to get him loose.

Ursirius May 3, 2023 at 3:33 pm

I watched Dale Earnhardt’s whole career and and I’ve seen him move drivers out of his way. I never saw him wreck people 80 laps in or for no good reason. Don’t compare Chastain to Earnhardt, Earnhardt knew what he was doing.

Bill T Marchi May 3, 2023 at 5:11 pm

@Ursirius look up Dale Earnhardt, waltrip, Geoff bodine wallace labonte Hamilton. And many more. Not sure what you watched. But you weren’t watching Dale Earnhardt if you didn’t see him wreck every driver he ever raced

Ross is fast and impatient. The kind of driving we need for nascar

I agree with everything Letarte said. Even if Poole lifted earlier than Ross expected he’s still right on his bumper. What was his plan?? To push him into the corner or up the racetrack?? This isn’t a Martinsville bump and run. There’s serious speed and consequences at a faster track like Dover.

Kansas is next…. Many owe Ross a big-time hit & Kansas is perfect for one of many paybacks

The way certain driver(s)are talked about, you would think they accomplished what Jeff Gordon has accomplished.

If you’re going to dump somebody at least make sure it’s the leader like Earnhardt would do

CombatWombat594 May 3, 2023 at 4:13 pm

Can’t argue with anything in this video. Did Ross do it on purpose? Absolutely not, but he should have been smarter than that with it being so early in the race. No reason to be running that hard that early against someone who doesn’t have the same pace as you anyways

Jimmy Jones May 3, 2023 at 4:18 pm

100% agree. He has what it takes… but needs to work on, what it takes.

Lol but if denny does it its ok,

Reply
Syd 41 May 3, 2023 at 4:28 pm

Ross is a hard racer and there’s nothing wrong with that but it seems like he’s spinning someone out about every weekend. He’s got to control his car a little more.

Reply
S Humphrey May 3, 2023 at 4:34 pm

Look further…Poole and the 3 car were going into the corner at the same speed. Ross saw the 5 car coming up his tail pipe and panicked…he was afraid the 5 was going to pass him (and he would have)…. So he punted Poole.

timkis 64 May 3, 2023 at 4:35 pm

since denny is basically the only one to pay ross back in a way that hurts ross’s finishing position.i look for him to continue his ways.because he allways benefits from his “mistakes”.when nobody pays him back.

Letarte is spot on with his commentary.

Let’s hope payback doesn’t cost someone’s life!! We lost the BEST driver of all time from a little bump… it seems like NASCAR never does much until someone gets killed!

Yep, still trying to find any little thing to hate on Ross.
Letarte, did you say this when Dale Sr. Drove this way?
