I’d love to see Jimmie Johnson return to COTA in the 84 car! So I believe that’ll be 39 entries for COTA.

It’s nice seeing Jimmie running, seeing as he’s running limited dates he’s probably the only LMC drive with secure sponsorship for every date

Can’t wait to see JJ at COTA, aswell as Kimi (and hopefully Jenson.), hope Byron can go 3 for 3 at Atlanta!

Jenson is in, he’s running the 15 which is chartered.

@José Castillo oh awesome!

COTA looks like an exiting race.

Which sucks, because it’s my home track as well and I can’t go because the tickets are stupid expensive.

Reply
Nathan Chambers March 13, 2023 at 11:15 pm

Expensive but I’d say worth it (if you can afford it anyways)!

Tristan Trull March 14, 2023 at 12:00 am

You’ll see more at home anyway

@Tristan Trull with the Fox broadcast? No way!

@Chuko Wiley yeah I was going to say by going you will actually see the race lol

Reply
Tristan Trull March 14, 2023 at 12:55 pm

@Wisconsin222 lol! I use my laptop too so I can watch my drivers in car the whole race. Much better experience since they added the in cars

That’s a sick sponsor honestly

Thank you ALL. It’s all made in Tucson, AZ! We appreciate the business.

All I’m saying is, Byron won this race last year . . .

Also I love the momentum bits!

I think Hendrick experimented last year with a lot of different setups after they won early in the season. Instead of waiting for data to see what worked they were proactive and I think it definitely shows this year. Chad Knaus is definitely worth his weight in gold for Hendrick.

I think you’re on to something there. Especially in the case of Byron I don’t see how you go from winning two races out of the gate to not scoring a top 10 for 18 races to then suddenly running strong again in the playoffs.

Reply
Slick Billy B March 14, 2023 at 12:06 am

@Countrybananasthat team was definitely focused on testing setups to see what would work the playoffs . . . And it almost payed off!

Reply
Mark Johnson March 14, 2023 at 12:17 am

U bet they been experimenting with all that testing they been doin with the lemans car

Reply
Justin Williford March 14, 2023 at 3:15 am

@Mark Johnson that car isn’t helping them much, if at all…

Reply
Zachary Volz March 14, 2023 at 7:47 am

@Justin Williford and how do you know that the car a team is in charge of developing and researching isn’t helping them learn much? do you have any sources or reasoning or are you just saying that to say that….sounds pretty stupid to me…. I’m not saying hendrick is cheating but to say that developing a car this similar to the cup car isn’t going to help is pretty ridiculous

I love bottle breacher! I bought one of their products a few years ago honoring my brothers and it’s my favorite tool in my bar

It’s interesting how time heals all wounds, so to speak, in regard to both Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick among the fans. When I was at the Charlotte fall race in 2010, the two most hated drivers were these two. I sat behind a row of guys with Carl Edwards t-shirts, who gave Harvick the middle finger multiple times and for no reason…just during normal laps.

Reply
uli wehner March 14, 2023 at 1:36 am

the guys in the Edwards shirts were probably dressed up Jr fans. not really watching the race, just there to see one guy

As a Larson fan, we had a shot to win at Daytona, but got too big a run on stenhouse and he didnt want to spin him so he went into the middle and got washed back. Fontana we had race winning speed without question but being 17 laps down isnt a great way to start. Vegas honestly the cars were equal, just who got to clean air first. This one hurt because it was arguably a mistake for larson to try to push byron up the track. He had beaten him on every restart running the bottom and opted to shove byron up the track instead that time. Its easy for me to say as a viewer so im not criticizing. All said, I am encouraged by the speed and competitiveness of this team this year. Just gotta work out the kinks.

I’m a huge Larson fan, and also a huge Hendrick fan so I’m happy all around with the start for all, well except for the 9 and what happened to Elliott.

Brad only had one bad year in the last few years. He was still 5th in points his last year with Penske and before that he was in the Championship 4. He is definitely a winner now. Bring Roush back to glory

I feel like you’re spot on with your picks. Add Truex to the loser list too. After winning The Clash, he’s nowhere to be found.

Evan Felch March 14, 2023 at 12:22 am

When Brad bought into an ownership position I gave him 3 years to make the team competitive. First year was a poor performance but there was probably a lot of growing pain. This year there is hope. Stenhouse had superspeedway race fall in his lap as usual, he was also real racy at Phoenix just not enough speed. Brad will get a win this year.

I’m pretty sure that the #6 car has the trajectory to win a regular season race and make the playoffs.

How bout the 17? What are your thoughts on him?

I really am excited to see Jordan Taylor run. I’ve watched him plenty in them, imsa vettes. Man can drive real good like

I never did see what happened to Brad at Phoenix. He was running well inside the top ten. Then finished 18th.

mrpro March 14, 2023 at 3:10 am

i think he messed up the last restart

Reply
Andy Mac March 14, 2023 at 4:54 am

his car wouldn’t shift and he fell like a rock

I want to just mention it Corey LaJoie is also in the winner’s category. For Spire Motorsports a 14th place finish at California is great, 20th at Vegas the next week and now at Phoenix he was 27th. I mean think of it is great because Spire is literally about only one step up from Rick Ware Racing.

I think BK is going to be a factor this season and I have him as one to watch this Sunday at Atlanta.

For sure as a Larson fan, he should have two wins already and who knows about Fontana. Hendrick showing really good consistency and overall speed.
