Josh shows NASCAR tho, he’s a real one.
Regardless of your thoughts on what Josh Williams did, I think we can all agree this penalty was way too harsh.
Absolutely ridiculous
OMG! WTF is wrong with Nascar?? Suspended? Beyond stupid.
Naw he needed parked for that move. Cars on the track and he parks it and walks away.
Absolutely though only reason they even tried enforcing that rule that none of us has heard of is because it was a little guy I’ve seen stuff fall multiple times on the superstars cars and they getting so woke and wander why they don’t have as many fans showing up now as the late 90’s and early 2000’s I’m pretty sure if Tony Stewart Roger Penske and Rick Hendrick they could start a series better this horse crap that nascar puts on
I’m just glad Josh didn’t get anything worse, the support he’s been getting from fans likely played a factor in nascars decision
He’s innocent
@IanPerez2000 dude, he parked his car in the middle of an active racetrack. What if someone spun under yellow? They coulda plowed into Josh’s car!
@RACINGUS95 oh calm down, overreactor. He parked it near the grass and was not even in the racing lane. NASCAR censored Josh Williams’ protest.
He is innocent and did nothing wrong.
@RACINGUS95 can’t stand when people play the “what if” game.
@RACINGUS95 “What if” Well that “what if” bs isn’t reality. Calm down cupcake
I have seen people do worse things than Josh and they recieved same or no punishment. Imo its too harsh.
cough bubba last year….
@Ka Gg Bubba got suspended, wtf are you talking about?
@Dan Darling He’s one of those people where Bubba lives rent free in their heads
@cehamlet89 for sure
Love the tar lines on the track….it’s like racing on an old Texas country road.
the amount of #FreeJoshWilliams on twitter has been crazy lol
If teams had time to actually fix their car without fear of breaking after race inspection rules then racing would be better
The owners want the rule that you’re crying about
@John Haas the owners don’t care about the racing product for the most part just the $$$
I’ve been screaming bloody murder about the DVP since it was introduced. I now officially have more canon power AGAINST the DVP Thanks to this Xfinity Series race from Atlanta.
I think the penalty was harsh but the best for the team. No points deduction, no fine, only loads of eyes on Josh Williams and the team. While it sucks to see Josh miss COTA. I think it turned out alright.
As long as he gets the waver!
well if you can’t race you can’t get points right?
NASCAR said he had to park the car and thats what he did tho, so tbh he shouldn’t of penalised him
Regardless of the situation. The rules say don’t get out of the car on the track. Sucks it happened but I think we all expected NASCAR to take action..I do think the Denny being willing to pay up could have had an influence on their choice of punishment.
However, that rule is not followed across the board equally! That is the major issue! If Bubba can get away with all kinds of antics and not be penalized, but Josh gets parked because tape no matter how sticky it is won’t stick to a cold surface very well!
NASCAR going forward MUST have the same penalty for all the cars now! Otherwise, they will look like a skitz who randomly enforces “rules” whenever they fell like!
@michael Pluska I agree, their calls have not been consistent. They need to be the same across the board.
I would really like to see Danny Hamlin drive his car that would be amazing
Did you miss the part of it being a Ford! Ain’t no JGR or TRD driver driving no Ford, especially a 2nd or 3rd rate one.
You must not understand 1) the politics of racing, 2) what’s actually under the shiny paint jobs that make the cars so different!
@John LaFever well aren’t you the smart one buddy just said it’s something I’d like to see
I agree that the suspension is too harsh, but I can see the 2 wrongs don’t make a right scenario.
Kevin is setting up a lane for Keelan to race…thats why KHI is back.
It’s also with the late model car for KHI drivers to get some more experience so drivers like Harrison
I am 60 years old and I have followed NASCAR since I was a little kid never missed a race on the television unfortunately I have not been to a NASCAR race since they dropped Kentucky speedway which in my opinion was the best track to watch a NASCAR race except for the traffic and parking situation and I have not watched a full race in at least five years now including the Daytona 500 NASCAR and all of their new rules have just lost me I’d much rather go to a local track and watch them run
Williams sponsors should thank him for bringing the attention he brought to their name until this past weekend I did not know who sponsored him
I like your show Eric keep up the good job I get more information from you than anybody else
My problem with the Josh Williams suspension is that they are punishing him for it but they definitely aren’t trying to take down any of the clips or stories that they’ve posted this week that have gotten them hundreds of thousands of views and clicks, so…. are they really upset about it or are they just butthurt that they over reacted toward him and got embarrassed when he did what he did?
I’d argue it was the right call. It’s the right call for Josh! The move gained TONS of attention… and tons of fans for Josh. Here we are a few days removed from the incident, and it’s the most talked about things again… gaining Josh more attention, and hopefully more fans. NASCAR used Josh as a scapegoat, and the overwhelming majority of people know that, and NASCAR doesn’t like it! Power to Josh!
Josh Williams is gonna gain so much support out of this from the fans
I have become a Josh Williams fan after this. He seems like a genuinely good dude.
Can’t wait to get my “Park It” shirt!!
