Because last year at the All-star race fans and teams cried about it, so Nascar said they were going to avoid overtime if possible. Also the xfinity race the bumper came off as they were taking the white, it was impossible to do an Overtime there.

you guys will throw a yellow anywhere else if if there’s a slow car on the track that’s still moving or if there’s a small wreck on a plate track on the last lap that shouldn’t need a yellow and y’all are so quick to throw it. can’t even say anything about letting them race back to the line cause you never let them do

It was a very bad judgment call. They should’ve thrown the caution, considering where he was on the track anyway. It wasn’t like he was off the track or anything like that.

Fans weren’t booing denny they were booing how nascar didn’t call the o.t caution which lead to denny getting a uncontested win
Nascar should have thrown the yellow flag immediately on that last spin. Even I knew that the car was out of the race when that happened. The race should have been yellow flagged and gone into overtime.
