It is about 8 months until the 2024 NASCAR Playoffs, so naturally I saw this as the perfect time to look at NASCAR’s postseason. I put together my 16 driver grid and today I want to look into it with a way too early 2024 NASCAR Playoffs prediction.

I’ve got LaJoie and Ty Gibbs making it off of wins. Corey has always been solid at Superspeedways and Gibbs was very good on the intermediate tracks. I got a feeling that they’ll be this year’s breakout drivers.
Corey was what 20th in points towards the end? I mean he was there just on consistency. I feel spire will do similar to front row soon
Only mid teir drivers have their own TV shows (not podcasts) so Corey and Austin Dillion…
Can I just say, call me a prisoner of the moment but today’s competition is the most competitive field in Nascar History. Realistically their are 27 or so drivers and teams who can make the playoffs. NASCAR from a comp side is looking great for the future
For the issues with Next Gen, it has really brought back a lot of parity
@@josharndt5438 2022 is tied for most amount of different drivers to win.
Mark my words that Jones boy will drag legacy’s to the playoffs
I feel like he will at least make the first round.
Yeah maybe in 2025 but I have a feeling with Legacy just having their stuff together with chevy at the end of 2023 then restarting with toyota its gonna bring down their speed a lot and its gonna take some time to adjust so I would give them maybe another year because Legacy also seems to not have the best behind the scenes employees either.
now lets watch every playoff prediction be completely wrong and stenhouse becomes champion 🙂
I agree with this list. My only predictions are that Briscoe will be back, Wallace will win a couple times and the boldest of all: Harrison Burton will get a win. It may be a plate race, but he gets one.
Front Row Motorsports will be a interesting team this year and the disrespect is getting old and pathetic at this point, the short track program has gotten better and has one of the best road course programs in all of nascar.
I see Kyle Larson, Blaney, MTJ, Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, William Byron, and Alex Bowman making it next year. Those are solid drivers that are a lock for the playoffs next year.
Hot take: I think Briscoe is gonna have a decent year maybe similar to 2022. I think he’s actually a pretty capable driver, and while SHR is not gonna give him the equipment, I could see him sneaking a win somewhere like Phoenix.
I can see Chase Briscoe doing better this year compared to even 2022.
This is the year my boy Ross Chastain gets his championship.
I would be up for that.
im a hendrick guy but hell yeah I would want ross to win a championship
@@TJ_youtube I would be up for William Byron winning as well too.
I think the wild card is how well the old Camaro’s can keep up with the new Ford and Toyotas. All the Chevy teams could start out slow with only 1 or 2 teams starting to catch up late in the year.
Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman need to have a bounce back year. I wouldn’t be surprised if ether one makes the championship 4.
Same
I’ve got Saurez dis year. It will be his year because he knows he will have pressure and will finally step up frls.
I really hope McDowell gets even better and joins the list of those who are able to likely make it. He still has a lot of talent that his car is slowly catching up to.
The thing is, he’s 39 and has been in NASCAR for 16 years now. At some point time is gonna start catching up to him
Bubba Wallace needs to be seriously considered for a deep playoff run this year. The way he was driving by the second half of this last season has me sold. He cleaned up mistakes, he showed real improvement on tracks all across the board, and most of all, he raced hard and raced to win every single Sunday. That’s championship caliber attitude. He was a 16th seed last year with a genuine shot at the round of 8 by the elimination round at the Roval; and he was driving great at the Roval until he was caught in someone else’s mistake!
Exactly I think he’ll make the round of 8 this season!
Lets just remind ourselves that Truex’s end of year performance may or may not have been indluenced by Sherri Pollex’s death
I do think your 10 guys is correct. The next 4 i say Truex, Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, and Ty Gibbs are the most likely of the rest of the field. As for the last 2 spots i agree on Bubba Wallace but I’m iffy on Bowman. Some dark horses i say Mcdowall, Austin Dillion, Rric Jones, and Stenhouse. Remember Stenhouse won the Daytona 500 but until closer to the playoffs was running well enough to get in on points
I think Eric jones will win 2 races this season!
I know it wouldn’t matter much as far as winning a championship but it’d be cool to see Lajoie get a spot in playoffs
Tbh ricky stenhouse not being on here is interesting. He showed great consistency outside his daytona 500 win, with being in the top 15 for most of the regular season.
