Kyle would like to speak to the manager.

There needs to be a major thinking adjustment to be made throughout the industry.

We, fan, team, media, owners, everybody, needs to stop expecting instant results from teams and drivers. It’s not the thinking of the “young” drivers coming up through the ranks. The pressure to perform, to produce wins, isn’t the product of the racers alone. The pressure to be a winner comes from all sides, yet especially from parents and owners.

Just because there are drivers going all out every moment of the race doesn’t mean that others need to be Lemmings and jump off the cliff because others are, just because some racers are choosing to outrun their equipment to get ahead doesn’t mean that every other driver needs to drive that same way.

I can remember when Ray questioned Jeff Gordon if there was something wrong with the car because every other car was passing him. Jeff reassured Ray that the car was fine, that Jeff was breaking the tires in. Sure enough a few laps later Jeff was driving past others. They told Jeff to slow down. He explained that his speed had been the same, that the other drivers had slowed down because they wore their tires out sooner.

I E-raced in a league for a while. I learned to not drive my car all out, to spare the equipment. The other drivers thought that I wasn’t a good driver, and that they were much better than I because they even lapped me. Later on they screamed foul because I then lapped the entire field, and my lap times were very consistent.

Those pedals are very easily adjusted by how we as drivers apply them. On the street we adjust our driving according to the conditions; weather, road, etc.

Come on people. Let’s use our heads with sound reasonable logic. If the tires are showing signs of premature wear, slow down. Adjust to the conditions. We don’t always need to adjust our equipment,when it is much more effective in every way to change the method of application.

I’m tired of him finishing bad.

To be fair, the drivers asked for tire falloff on short tracks. Goodyear said alright bet

Just put on steel tires at least we would see fireworks all day
