like the great kyle Busch once said; “if you don’t like this kind of racing, don’t even watch”

As a viewer, it was fun to watch. The tires are a resource that should be used strategically. I really enjoyed the dynamics at play.

What’s the difference between resin and PJ1…?

nothing just certain different chemicals used. but they do the same thing by adding grip to the surface

So a couple of things I wonder about, more because I don’t know;

What difference does the traction compound, between pj1 and resin, make in terms of laying rubber? Does the higher grip from the pj1 result in higher tire temps due to the speeds, therefore being able to lay rubber or does tire temp not have anything to do with it at all?

I can see temperature making a difference in terms of grip and laying down rubber, but does that result in the track simply not being able to take rubber because of the track temperature or does tire temperature make the bigger impact?

Thing is, if it was the resin that caused the inability to lay rubber down on the race track, it does not explain why the middle of the race track (or the 2nd groove) also did not take in any rubber at all. (The middle of the race track had no resin, was untreated)

NASCAR ad admitted yesterday they don’t want to change the motors because they want to competition to all pack race. They don’t want the product to show the difference has ability between the drivers.
