I was part of that crowd today! Had to travel from Montreal Canada for business this week, I could not miss the opportunity to witness this good race and facility in person!
Welcome to Texas!
Glad to know my countrymen were in attendance
Seeing a Hooters car doing a Polish victory lap brought back fond memories of Alan Kulwicki, and to hear him pay his respects to him in the victory interview really brought it home. Class act.
I say hooters won because of the power of the booba, that’s why it’s rare haha too powerful to be allowed
@@MaxRamos8I love boobies
@@MaxRamos8Boobies cure everything, right?
I think that anyone who won with Hooters has to thank Alan and what his contributions to racing were. Pocono 1992 was the last time Hooters won and this is their first one with Chase Elliott. And Alan beat his father Bill in a championship battle in 1992.
Super classy post race interview paying his respects to Kulwicki
Elliott should have said ” I just beat your least favorite driver”
That would have required actual personality. Elliot doesnt do that
Maybe if Chase Elliot wasn’t just a cardboard saltine of a person
@@davidlevins7646 Yes he does have good old fashioned southern manners, but that would have made it even funnier!
As a Hamlin fan, I think that would have been hilarious
chase Elliott has been really consistent he deserved this win it would’ve been Larsons race but yeah I’m still upset but damn was Elliott super aggressive today can we mention Suarez in the top 5 hocevar in the top 10 it was a crazy race this week and my condolences to the labonte family may they find closure during this difficult time
Alan Gustafson giving credit to Bob was awesome. He is a classy guy too.
Being at the race was awesome!
I brought in two new people and they became fans instantly. Ones a Suarez fan and the other Chastain.
My favorite driver wins the race.
Great race, great weather, great crowd, great action.
Loved it!!
What we need. New fans.
That Polish victory lap was actually really cool.
In those last three restarts, Bubba went from 28th to 7th, that was an insane rally
Actually ?!?!?!
Cuz everyone’s wreckin
He and Briscoe both had fast hotrods wrecking to top 10s at checkers
He was fast but didn’t finish his pit cycle because of JHN wreck so he stayed a lap down then got back to lead lap but was caught with that dirty air in the back and then idk how he drove all the way through lol
@@noahbenscoter9558 21 cars didn’t wreck…
Bubba went from 28th to 7th on those late restarts.
So, he,s still the sixth looser. Still a loose. Wasted money, Micheal. Maybe check out that raja dude.
@@4grizzle1 He’s top ten in points. He’s doing exactly what he’s being paid to do.
@@4grizzle1shut up you can’t spell lose
@@4grizzle1yes, but to be fair he was gonna be the 27th loser
Nascar let him cheat like always
As a Brad fan, it’s tough seeing him come up short again trying to end his winless streak. But no question he’s helped turn RFK back into a weekly contender again and seeing victory lane with Buescher multiple times since Brad got involved with the team operations. That team though needs to improve their qualifying efforts. Tough to end a winless streak starting outside the top 10 every week
Not to worry, Talladega will be the spot for his 7th win at the track.
Ford is just a little off as a whole besides Blaney. Though Briscoe is overachieving big time right now.
@@MegaMr46He or Penske might get off the snide next week. I am not big fans of either, but Brad I now would like to see win next of guys needing to end long losing streaks.
Also a Brad fan, and I don’t think he takes the risks he used to pre-owner. Early in 2022 he was more aggressive, had some bad finishes, and I think saw it threaten the success of the team. Ever since, he’s been more about ensuring a good finish than risking it for a great one.
@@Imspammedout He has gotten more conservative with his driving compared to in the past.
How ridiculous was Truex’s pit crew today with a loose wheel twice and slow pit stops yet again . Truex was 2 laps down in 32nd and ended up 14th in the end , what a comeback .
So many good stories we couldn’t see with Fox’s typical coverage.
Truex’s crew kills him on a nearly weekly basis. I don’t understand why there hasn’t been some house cleaning there.
Lug nuts killing lots of people
Truex wasn’t the only JGR driver to have problems in the pits, Ty’s crew had issues as well. As fast as their cars have been, just imagine how many races they could win if they weren’t constantly forced to run through the pack.
While Chase’ win underscores a new chapter in the 9/HMS camp, Brad Keselowski’s importance at RFK is constantly underestimated and under appreciated. There has not been much talk about it since the 17 grabbed three wins. While BK has a triple digit winless streak, this is the second year (third if you count massive penalty season) that Rousch Fenway cars are constantly relevant.
Man I could not agree more with this comment. That team was a disaster and BK has had a huge impact in a relatively short amount of time. Well said.
Can we talk about how many crashes Fox missed because of commercial breaks??
They can’t predict the future & have to take commercial breaks
Ikr?
And then they’d come back from commercial break and either show a single replay, or just talk about what happened.
Don’t even get me started on how many times they’d start talking about someone only for the camera to pan to a different unrelated car.
I’d like to disagree. I think they spend way too much money ( nascar)… no need for all that technology…I mean, what other ” sport” has sponsors ALL OVER the players uniform,? Sponsors on every car, every wall, every camera…and then 84 commercials in 3 hrs? Cmon…
As a Keselowski fan I was disappointed, but I’m very thankful that he got 2nd. Still looking for a win, but I’m glad to see Elliott end his streak. Hopefully Brad can get it done next week at Dega.
Ford will not win a race this year
I think they carry the momentum from this week to next week
As much as I like Brad Keselowski, why wasn’t William Byron rewarded second place?
@bighand1530 it goes by the scoring pylon and whichever one was last used at the time of caution. At that point Brad was in second. I thought he had 3rd for a sec too, I hope NASCAR uploads something about the scoring, cuz I’m curious too
@@RFK6-qi8eg I see.
I just want to say for the record that Cole Custer really surprised me, doing color commentary on the PRN broadcast. Dude was surprisingly good! He has some talent there. And as they say…he has a face for radio, so he’s probably more likely to have a shot there than one of the TV broadcasts.
at first I thought it was Todd Gordon in the booth with them, until I remembered it was PRN, not MRN. it’s unfair to talk about drivers post racing career when they are still young, but cole really was a natural.
NOTE – I didn’t mean to make it sound like Byron was solely to blame for the Chastain wreck. My bad on that. Hard to tell exactly what happened, but it seems Ross may have slowed a bit and Byron chose not to lift since it was the last lap. Hard to completely fault Byron for that, but who knows if Ross sees it the same way.
Glad you said something but not everyone is gonna see this comment lol. It was 100% Ross checking up bc he couldn’t keep the wheel steady. Byron was like a missile.. there was no where to go. Wasn’t the first time Ross tried to get too much out of turn 1 either. He did the exact same thing with reddick on his outside earlier in the race
