Carson casually dropping the potentially true rumor of Rockingham coming back to the schedule in such a non-chalant way is the most Carson thing I’ve seen in my life
I would love for Rockingham to come back I was lucky enough as a kid to remember watching them race there on TV from 1998-2004 and I remember racing on that track on Nascar Thunder 2003
I’ve always found the All Star Race to be weird. All star games in other sports makes sense when only 1/15 of your star players are playing at any point. When all your stars race every weekend, every race is an all star race
It made a bit more sense in the 80’s when they had only winners make it in, and usually only had 10 or 11 winners each season. With an increase in winners and eligibility, I can see your point because it’s basically only the backmarkers who aren’t racing in it
The “hometown” stretch that you mentioned sounds great for the teams but I wonder if it’s a great idea for the fans. Some of those races might be drawing from the same fanbases, so having them so close together might force fans to choose which one they want to go to more than the others. Spreading them out might give those same fans the option to go to more than one.
I thought the same thing. Fans don’t travel to races like they used to; it would seem they would be going after the same fans in the Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic region.
Totally agree. Like I never understood why they had Richmond, Martinsville, and Bristol in the same part of the schedule. They are essentially all within a couple hours drive of each other. There’s no way they aren’t taking away from each others ticket sales.
Rockingham might be a good track for this car, considering it has high banking. It could be a similar situation to Bristol, with the Intermediate package.

I started following NASCAR only in 2008. I’ve heard so much about the Rock. I would love to see it return.

And then he wrecks two people and blames them.

YEAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY, ROCKINGHAM AND CHICAGOLAND ARE COMING BACK
None of that’s been confirmed.
Even if it’s confirmed, Rockingham yes, Chicagoland I doubt.
“Rockingham’s coming back” proceeds to wreck someone
Just doing Carson Hocevar things

Figure out the short track package and a Rockingham race would potentially be amazing.
I highly doubt they would use the short track package there. It’s relatively fast and high banked.
Yeah Rockingham is basically an intermediate like Dover.
@@POPCAROfficial I feel like it races like a short track though. i might have to go back and rewatch a few races.
Damn Hocevar is brutal on sim racing
Carson Hocevar pulling a Hocevar Moment Is wild

One thing I learned from this is that I would never wanna be sim racing with Carson Hocevar
I love Carson, dude is just so personable and real, leaking the Rock is so on brand
Super talented and super aggressive, if he drove for Hendrick he’d win 12 races with 24 DNFS
Living embodiment of checkers or wreckers, comparable to Ross Chastain
No your praise is way to high. Pfft

Yep for sure. I’m not too worried about it at all.
Please let the finale go back to homestead. That is honestly one of the best tracks and a good even playing field for the manufacturers
Heck yeah!
The AllStar race is like a test race. It’s where we got Doible File Restarts amongst other things for better or worse.
