Punting people off the track, exactly

@@JnrJam The point is, hes fast, and there isnt a damn person alive that can push him around in a race car. I agree that it hasnt always been kosher, but that pass on Hill was 100% Fair Game

Shane did NOTHING wrong. He did EXACTLY what he is paid to do. Drive the car and win the race. Hill opened the door and Shane drove in in. Simple.

Exactly, Hill would’ve done the same thing. Hills ego may the issue

Yep, SVG had him covered anyway. Stalked him, passed him and pulled a buffer and sat on it, too good

Im not sure Austin Hill wants to go after that heat out of the car either.

@RARDingo June 10, 2024 at 9:57 pm

Hill got punted because he tried to close the gap back up. By moving to the inside line he created a situation where the contact was much harder than it would have been if he had just held his line.

Austin was less than a foot away while Shane was touching dirt, so he can’t say anything if he gets hit after not giving room. Besides it wasn’t near as intentional as Austin’s hills move at COTA

Reply
@bkozican June 11, 2024 at 12:58 am

Cota was a blessing for him and a curse for the rest of the grid in regards to road courses. Hill pushing SVG out the way into turn 1 showed him what you can get away with. I love the fact they bullied him and he bullied back

@dewbee7985 June 11, 2024 at 1:46 am

Completely agree. Austin Hill didnt do his homework. Fukk around and find out. LOL

Reply
@syphe0 June 11, 2024 at 6:09 am

Yeah he pretty much says as such every interview, V8 Supercars still allows a lot of contact in comparison to most other series, but Nascar is a step up. Shane had a relatively slow start in the V8’s, but he’s spent a long time racing next to other great drivers such as Scott McLaughlin and Jamie Whincup, they don’t give an inch, so you need to play the game to win.

@robbnutter4665 June 11, 2024 at 2:34 am

SVG did EXACTLY what Austin Hill would’ve done had the shoe been on the other foot. Hill can dish it out, but he can’t take it.

@honahwikeepa2115 June 11, 2024 at 2:42 am

SVG grew up racing like this in NZ and Australia.

@alpeach9480 June 11, 2024 at 4:33 am

What I loved most of all about this whole episode, was in the interview, when asked if his action was legit, the look of cold steel on Shane’s face as he responded ‘ 100% ‘, and not one more word ! None was required. Make room, Scott Dixon, there’s a new Kiwi ‘ Ice Man ‘ coming to join you on the racetracks of the USA !!
