My picks for Cup.
Suck. LaJoie
Sleeper. Todd Gilliland
Winner. Might be biased as a fan, but ill say an SHR driver. Briscoe loves Iowa. Berry and Preece are short track guys. I could see an SHR driver winning it.
I knew it had to be Mike Skinner for random driver of the week because I knew plenty of things you mentioned about him, But I don’t think you mentioned he was the first Craftsman Trucks Series champion.
He moved back to Vegas and now has new responsibilities with his new content job. No hard feelings amongst the panel, but he won’t be returning at least for the foreseeable future.
Most commentators are like accountants…they will always judge an opportunity by the past and past performances. SVG is not one to be judged by his 80 odd wins and multiple road championships…instead he is here “now” and on the spot to make his own mark on these courses. He is super confident and will blow all their minds soon.

I predict Christopher Bell will win this weekend at Iowa because looking at the odds he’s the favorite he did the tire test he has 2 xfinity series wins and poles there

Or the fact that he practically was *THE* face of the Truck Series
Didn’t mention he drove for Lowe’s before Lowe’s moved to HMS and JJ.
I had it with all the truck teams.
I knew it was Mike Skinner as soon as he said that he blocked Tony Stewart and caused a big wreck. It was this race around the 44 minute mark: https://youtu.be/ssFCm0EGx0E?si=ouG_F5nQIZRC2lXy

Yes yes yes
This might settle it. Name one driver in Xfinity or Trucks who stands a better chance of winning a Cup race in 2025? He’s ready…..
