Easily the most frustrating race of 2024
At least we got a bowman win out of it
@@wordlesslfiddling waste of a playoff spot
I think last weeks race at Nashville has something to say about that lmao.
@@justinpsychomonkeyjohnson2845Mad? He’s a good driver. He has the ability to do well.
Next year go thru lower wacker
That would be very entertaining but I don’t think it would be very practical for the city. Lower Wacker is how people get around while this is going on
The winner is the driver who can find their way out.
@@mugsbugsly2975 NO NON WORKING GPS ALLOWED LOL
One of the strangest races in the competition
And such a fun race to attend
Briscoe showing all his talent this race
Yeah no kidding, SVG was gonna do great till that idiot messed it up
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a plan in the works when he was racing the x. Finity series Larsen try to put him in the wall, cut his nose off and did everything possible 4, the other driver to not win?
SVG is head and shoulders better than 90% of these guys on road courses.
We’ll just pretend that Larson didn’t do the exact same thing later in the race, sure thing. The truth is that this course is brutal in the rain and it’s bound to happen, even to the best of them. Sucks for SVG but guess he can’t win them all, right?
With no rain this could be one of the best tracks on the schedule. We saw it with the XFinity race. Just give us a few extra years on that contract Chicago
Or change it maybe to a different date?
Even with rain is still fun! This race was so unpredictable, everyone had eyes on SVG but he retired early due to an incident, and it looked like Bell had it but do to time is was Bowman with the win.
Watching the same 4 cars hit the barriers was comedy.
Noah Gragson at least didn’t repeat what he did last year.
That’s right the ONLY thing Briscoe didn’t hit was the helicopter
Berry too. And Preece. Gragson actually stayed clean lol
I miss commentary from Dale Jr
Certainly better than Burtons high pitched screeching.
Like Dale Jr Doesn’t Have A High Pitched Voice
@@michaelgomez3044 They sound like the same person most of the time
They do sound the same. And then I remember it’s not Jr.
@@michaelgomez3044I lower my tv volume when he’s talking.
Its very progressive of NASCAR to let a visually impaired driver like Chase Briscoe compete
Xfinity race was great. This track has proven to be good if only it weren’t for the ducking rain.
Ducking?
2 years in a row too. I live here. It messes up my commute but I don’t care. It’s a fun race. Wish NASCAR did more street/road courses. They’re signed on for one more year. I think they’re in negotiation to extend it longer.
I really liked the look on Reddicks car today. And congrates on Joey Hand on a top 5 finish and congrates to all the Bowman fans out there on the big win today.
You and me both couldn’t wait to buy a raced win diecast of it smh
Yeah that would have looked so good.
I can’t figure out why Joe Gibbs racing was so hot to get Chase briscoe?
Never in my life
Have I seen a race end on countdown
Must be lighting….or a curfew.
@@aygeeninty771Lack of sun. Are you guys really that clueless?
@@Joetato-gotta-go explain?
It happens a lot in Sports Car racing like GT series.
I dont know how NASCAR has gotten so lucky with the rain here. Hope they keep this race going, it could be huge
This race sucks
Then rain made it entertaining. Otherwise a snooze fest
Went yesterday and had a blast! Chicagoan here and I hope the contract gets renewed after next year! Great showcase of the city
Chicago is the cancer of our state.
Lets see these guys at the Indy Detroit street circuit!
They should do this race in the streets of Los Angeles. No rain this time of year.
Great idea. The cars are badass and look good on street circuits.
It would probably cost way too much to shut down any streets in LA for an event like this.
GRUSOM NEWSOM WONT ALLOW IT UNLESS IT WILL BE ELECTRIC CARS FGN !!!
As an older NASCAR fan and newer F1 fan,
_Steve, keep this track._
This is entertainment, *and* is hella good for both driving skill and adaptation to various conditions under a street course. Legit, the most interesting race on the calendar.
Agree I think it’s good to show the skill of these drivers on more than just ovals. Yes ovals are challenging but there is something special bout seeing a Cup car on streets and roads
I never imagined that the downtown streets of my hometown would be the site of NASCAR, and I think it’s awesome! Seeing the streets signs, Michigan Ave., the Chicago skyline, the loyal fans sitting with their clear rain ponchos on, even the unintentional spills against the tire impact safety barriers, reminiscent of an old “Speed Racer” episode, driving in Chicago, period, would be a perfect training ground for professional racers anywhere, really enjoyed the broadcast!,
