Kyle Larson from 2019 but without the barrel roll. What a wreck.
thats what i thought too
Yeah the reason he rolled was because he was on his side when he hit the wall, catapulting him over. Good comp for sure
This is so true tho
Worst part of it was hitting the wall, but nobody acknowledges it. They just wanna talk about the car getting air, which is the cool way to crash out.
Hitting it when upside down, that was scary
I mean I’m sure they know that, but with the aero changes that nascar put in place after Lajoie I think it was more important to talk about that. Anyone can point out how a car going towards a wall hit the wall, but it’s harder to explain how exactly the car flipped over
@@Thunderbolt2396 Not really, anybody who has stuck their hand out the window going down the road should be able to figure out that air lifts things.
It is tho
Why are you copy pasting this comment on every video containing this flip
Everybody knows the hit was the worst part. Nobody is denying that.
BRO NOT JOSH BERRY JUST LIKE RYAN PREECE SINCE 2023
Another flip for a Stewart-Haas Racing member. Man, I feel bad for the team. Even on their final year.
2nd flip on the row (from michigan)
Kyle sieg and Corey’s MIS speedway crashes last week now it’s Berry who flips the asphalt concrete change didn’t work
Obv the surface doesnt prevent air from getting under the car
The grass makes it barrel roll especially in parts where their grass and asphalt it helps them not barrel roll that’s all
But the change still allows to flip but not Barrel roll
@@Brocky5622 yes so the Ryan preece accident doesn’t happen again
Like Michigan when Corey lajoie when on the grass he started barrel rolling a little
Kyle sieg as well on final lap
They should remove that smooth underbody. No matter what they add to the car they’re still going over as long as they have it.
Even without it they’l still blowover, but it definitely will help to remove it
@@Flowformed Agreed the flaps are cool but when it goes sideways nothing is blocking the air from lifting up from underneath
yea agreed
@@Flowformed Yeah, that’s just racing. Nothing can stop physics.
How will that help exactly?
insane racing from the front. huge push from the 21 at the end. the 2 was too slow infront of the 8 and refused to move and caused that wreck
He slammed the wall really hard. This race was wild.
Thank goodness he’s okay. It’s not cool that this is the THIRD blowover in 7 days, but the head-on hit was the worst part.
Grow up. It’s part of racing
@@rvegasguy_5216Considering how many flips we had last year compared to ONE week(2 each) and the the millions spent on preventing these kinds of flips, it is not “just racing” but an actual problem NASCAR needs to fix.
Scary site Barry smacking the wall while he’s upside down that was just scary
Involved in crash:
#2 Austin Cindric
#3 Austin Dillon
#4 Josh Berry
#8 Kyle Busch
#24 William Byron
#33 Austin Hill
#38 Todd Gilliland
#43 Erik Jones
#71 Zane Smith
Total: 8
That’s alot of cars, and alot of money.
@joeshelton1077 Well Busch barely got hit, I can imagine the only reason he’s here is because he’s the one to cause this
It’s insane how literally 20 minutes after they flipped him over, they interviewed him outside the care center. That’s a testament to the engineering that goes into these cars to keep these drivers safe.
That impact was brutal. And he took it head on doing at least 120 while on his lid…what a scary crash
that was like the Matt Kenseth flip in the Spring Talladega Race 2016
All night the booth talked about the changes nascar made to keep the cars on the ground. After this happened never heard anymore about it
For anyone wondering, Josh is doing just fine. They even interviewed him right after the crash and he said “It looked worse than it was” or something like that.
Kinda of Crazy that even after Nascar added the shark fin thing, berry still managed to flip
That inside wall hit is the reason why grass should be there, getting rid of the grass was not the problem. Just like Denny said, I would rather tumble than hit the wall head on. Removing the grass was not the move
Ask John Hunter Nemecheck
Another thing is that if they kept the grass we would have 3 major airborne crashes in this race as Nemechek would’ve also flipped
I still like having the pavement because of how easily the grass rips the splitters off the cars, and the pavement is supposed to help scrub off speed like it did for Brandon Jones in the Xfinity race. But you’re right about it not being the move. The only move is making it to where the cars don’t have the flat underside, but NASCAR refuses to accept that the Next Gen is the problem.
Why don’t they put the kind of asphalt that some tracks have, like Paul Ricard which slows the car down?
That was wicked bad! The third flip in two weeks! I’m so happy Josh is ok!
