Hendrick is special privilege “Nascar”
It was a different panel that heard the appeal. Nothing to do with NASCAR.
@stellingbanjodude i root for elliot and hendrick and still feel favoritism towards hendrick might be at play
If there wasn’t then no one wouldn’t have anyone to booo at in this sport. There also be no fan base.
Okay. Something is definitely off. What did these guys see that last week’s panel didn’t? I’m confused by this. And this is coming from a Chase Elliott fan.
A different panel. They don’t use the same people over n over.
@Jayanna Kelley I know…. After all, I even said “last week’s panel”. I’m not sure why they didn’t have the same panel for this issue since it’s the same issue as HMS.
@Jayanna Kelley They have a pool of 25 panelists and they take who is availble. Flaw in the system
Wow… I guess we are playing favorites. This is ridiculous.
If Hendrick didn’t have their penalty amended, everyone would be singing a different tune…
The NASCAR appeals process needs to be reexamined. One thing is we need more transparency.
Rules only apply to any team not named Hendrick Motorsports.
So… “Nascar” y’all wanna explain what’s happening here and why Hendrick got their points back and Kaulig only got 25…
Wasn’t Nascar’s decision it was the appeals pannel’s
I’m saying this as a Hendrick fan, but name prominence is key. In football, all Tom Brady would have to do is cry to the refs and he’d get a penalty, but if the quarterback for my Jets got slammed down, most of the time there wasnt a penalty. Hendricks name and influence is much bigger than Kaulig, same with Brady. So the bigger your name is, the better chance you got.
@Jason Hill Jr Ik but they have to have some sort of relationship in order for the appeals to work
@Kadin Smith ok yes, but this isn’t the NFL. This is Nascar. The appeals panel has favored Hendrick since day 1. And look who has as big as a name as Hendrick does. Penske, Gibbs, Stewart, Childress.
@Talnite right because Hendrick is getting favorable treatment this is why I’ve never been a Hendrick fan
Hendrick favoritism at work
Wow, what a difference a different panel makes!
You should make that clear to viewers that this was a different panel.
I get that they are different members than the ones that presided over the case last week, but they should’ve logically come to the same conclusion. It was the same rules violation(on a smaller scale) But I agree with Larry Mac, either it’s a penalty or it’s not. Either they broke the rules or they didn’t it can’t be in between. I know NASCAR can’t control the NMPA but they failed on this one.
Different panelist, different opinions. Flaw in the system. Should be same people all year long.
Total b.s. Can’t wait to hear what Brett Griffin has to say about this on DBC
At this point find a was for ACCUS/FIA to hear the appeals. Ever since COVID the NMPA has been really inconsistent.
This is totally BS how small teams like Kaulig racing got the shaft and Hendrick Motorsports and leading the point standings
Totally agree I just saw that on race hub and looked for this video to make the same comment seems there taking pages out of the WWE book
Hendrick fan here… and I completely agree. Absolutely insane that this penalty was upheld. Kaulig doesn’t deserve this. Not NASCAR’s fault for once, but this appeals process should be re-examined.
Money Talks
To bad they could not get the same treatment as Hendrick. This is laughable it was the same rule that was broke.
It’s inconsistent to repeal HMS’s penalty and barely reduce Kaulig’s penalty. Nascar has already been accused of bias to Hendrick Motorsports and this penalty hurts Kaulig more than HMS. With the Playoffs being a thing any HMS driver could win and we’d forget the penalty happened but because of this penalty Justin Haley is behind all the part time guys in Points and winning isn’t as likely for that team. With that being said the last time Haley got screwed by a Nascar penalty (2018 Xfinity Daytona) he got his redemption so I’m gonna laugh if he wins at Dega in a couple weeks.
So the appeals panel are Hendrick fans clearly.
You guys have to change the rule book, Its not your fault, but YOU DO CHOOSE THE PANEL, we need consistency on the panel a set number, not rotation
The question I have for NASCAR is not only why kaulig would not these “modified” part on both cars, but only put 1 on their car
And how come HMS got away with it
