lol even with putting dirt on the track the seats are STILL half empty. Are people already sick of the dirt gimmick?
@GatoradeCupSeriesX94it’s probably because it’s Easter, also I think it’s also have to do with the fact that spring Bristol races never really was popular.
So I think at this point NASCAR should go to an actual dirt track or another different short track (maybe in the future North Wilkesboro)
It was a nice experiment but get rid of the dirt and give us great Bristol races on the concrete

@Wade Adams In 2020 this track in spring had 2.9 mil viewers, in 2022 it got 4 mil. Pretty good ratings if you ask me, maybe not the racing though.
@Wade Adams Way more people in the stands for the dirt races than when they ran on concrete. Go back and watch the 2018 and 2019 spring races when they ran on concrete. Those stands were literally empty.
Say what you want about Bristol dirt but you can’t argue that it hasn’t improved ratings and attendance because it has and by quite a bit. Bristol died long before they put dirt on it. Pretty much ever since they reconfigured it and added progressive banking. That’s when attendance and ratings began to really plummet.
Sure wish. Nascar could get us tv people little more closer to these wrecks I mean keep it on the leader with nobody around him but wrecks happen and the camera looks like a fan in the stand footage???

@aaronhobart6223 I went last year… it is a good time in person still. But for a so called best of the best series to run slower laps than local guys in 2 speed street stocks is not good
I’m thinking the same thing. nascar has no clue what it’s about anymore. It used to be about the show. It used to be about entertaining the blue collar workers who couldn’t afford to shell out todays big bucks. Big bucks to placate nascars bean counters insatiable desire to fill their wallets and pocket books with mega money.

I don’t think this was any form of payback from the incident between @joeylogano & @williambyron at Darlington Raceway. Byron just couldn’t get stopped quick enough & accidentally got into Logano.

Remember when a Bristol night race ticket was the most sought after ticket in all of motor sports? You had to get next years ticket the day after the race practically or be on a waiting list. Now it’s half empty, sad times
There was a time that you couldn’t find a ticket to Bristol for any price, there’s a ton of empty seats, NASCAR, you got what you asked for.
I do love me some dirt track racing, but it would be a whole lot cooler if every factory sponsored team had to build their own Hobby/Street Stock car. NASCAR is going down hill. Pretty sad actually.
