The Newman Bar did its job again. Incredible safety in these cars today.

I’ve never seen the safety crew get there any faster than that before. Good to see.

This reminds me a lot of rolls from the 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s. I was surprised to see a car roll like that in this day and age!
Glad that everyone is ok!

Props to fox for somehow only having one angle of this and for missing every single freaking crash live so far

I hope someone drives a bus through the fox hq

Ladies and gentlemen, Captain Hindsight…

While I’m sure some like you would’ve had the foresight to wait for the barrel roll to start, the cameraman is just a mortal and focused on the initial swerve to the inside wall…

P.S. I’ve seen about 3 different angles so far. Try watching the race live maybe?

This wreck is comparable to some of the crazy blowovers from the 80s

EDIT: It already seemed like Blaine went to the hospital as a precaution but the fact they posted this is a good sign imo

Just a perfect storm for him to get flipped like that. Thank the Lord he didn’t hit the fence and glad he seems to be alright.

He was stuck in the washing machine!
Thank God they’ve made all the structural changes over the years to prevent even the roof impact damage Joey mentioned.
Ryan Newman at Daytona, Chris Bueshcer at Charlotte… they’re incredible to survive the consecutive impacts these cars can take.
Put an extra prayer in the air for the Cup cars tomorrow!

For both those cars, that was a very bad crash. But like they say, apparently hitting the wall is more painful than flipping. And Dexter hit the wall with the driver’s side, hope he’s fine too
