Saturday afternoon at Talladega was an eventful day, to say the least, there were 11 cautions, two red flags and two massive wrecks which left two cars flipped upside down. Justin Allgaier won Stage 1 and Jeb Burton won Stage 2. Burton went on to win the Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway. Making it his second career victory at Talladega and the first win for Jordan Anderson Racing.

How do these crashes rank at Talladega?
@Carrie Glardon
You do realize there are people in those cars, right? Not to mention the cost to repair/replace those machines.
@Tyler Krawczyk
Or maybe figure 8 racing?
At nearly 200 mph, that would be epic!
We shouldn’t be ranking crashes….
They’re Up There
Blaine Perkins’ flip looked just like the violent flips from back in the day. Glad everyone made it out of this one okay.
I was thinking the same thing. Looked kinda like Tony Stewart’s flip at Daytona in 2001.
@Blendez Family First thing I thought.
Both flips recreated Stewart flips then
Hemric at the end was awfully similar to 2012, but obviously not nearly as much carnage
this race really channeled its inner 2016 GEICO 500
@Iamnothuman77 #DARTDONTLIE ah ok
Yes there was 2 flips this race
@W2VKyleBuschFan To me it looked like Tony Stewart 2012. They both spun in the same place in the same way.
@W2VKyleBuschFan i thought the same thing
@Antón Castillo that was the 2009 cup race
I love how they had to get the thumbnail shot from a photographer because the fox cameramen were too awful to catch it themselves.
the only good camera was the one across the track, sad
How dare that operator go with his gut and focus on the intial swerve and collision?!?
It’s almost as if he couldn’t predict the future and the secondary collision and subsequent barrel roll!
What a loser!
Does anyone know the ratio of the number of cameras for Xfinity vs. Cup? — More cameras increase the odds for more great shots
@Cody Moe as a videographer who works live races myself you have to stay wide rather than zoom all the way in on one car so you catch the other crashes, overall it’s bad camera work. That’s what happens when you get guys who film football games to cover nascar.
@Motorsports Nation Exactly. Especially as plate tracks aren’t exactly known for single car crashes. But with only 20 cameras to cover a two mile speedway, it’s understandable that the Fox guys miss stuff. Pointing the lens at the cars is clearly asking too much.
This race was so very epic…final lap crash…
Love to see a small team win!
Great race and win for Jeb Burton
That’s a “feel good” win!
Well I’ve been watching nascar for about 15 years now probably and that’s the first time I’ve seen a turn camera get taken out by a car
Congratulations Jeb!!!
FOX is doing it’s best to cure me from being a NASCAR fan!!!!! Unbelievable coverage!!!! Could not get any worse!!!!
I hope Blaine Perkins is okay after that crash.
Same
Its been a long time since Ive seen a nascar flip that many times. Almost thought crashes like that are impossible nowadays
There have been 3 of these in the past 5 years slone, correct?
Kyle Larson and Chris Buscher being the other 2…
@Cody MoeThe other is probably Jamie McMurray during practice in 2018 at dega
@Cody Moe Christopher Bell flipped 9 times not too long ago in 2016
One of the wildest races in a long time. Xfinity series is better to watch than cup right now
I agree … the Xfinity Series is killing it .
Haven’t seen a race this good in a while
Talladega into another season incredible like always chaos carnage and an high rated last lap sprint incredible robust those cars today thanks for the roll cage hope he is next race back in action I mean the yellow NR. 20 I guess Burton to his career highlight can Xfinity unpredictable race finishes, yes it does hope for an thrilling tight title fight till last lap of phoenix at November
