Didn’t he also flip at Michigan? And I remember hearing he was also injured in another race when his tire exploded and hit him in the shoulder. Nothing but bad luck
Fun fact: for the next race at Talladega after the second flip, Elliott’s crew chief left him a sticky note on the dash that said “Keep all 4 wheels on the ground.”
At least, that’s what I read somewhere.
