HUGE (and maybe unrealistic) expectations put on this guy after that Daytona 500 win.
He’s still learning, and I think his head’s in the right place to grow into a real championship threat in the future.

He somehow got 6th at Vegas after being like 20th whole race, got 6th at COTA after getting involved in several wrecks and a pit crew mistake, won a stage at Atlanta, and has had many races where he starts off strong but then falls apart after 30-50 laps. Penske as a whole has also regressed this year. I don’t think he’s really much of the issue. I also think he needs a crew-chief swap with Bullins and Paul Wolfe, because Bullins isn’t working. His long run cars and setups have been horrible. Either way tho I think Cindric will find a way to recover from this rough start. If he can recover from 2018, he and his team can recover from this slump. Either way this year has been rough to watch as a Cindric fan. At the very least he’s managed these races well and hasn’t made really many mistakes over-driving thr car, so there’s that

It muet be hard to keep the expectations up when you start your full time cup career with a Daytona 500 win lol
