Personally i think to be safer for these drivers racing there should be more than one lugnut because the amount of times tires have been coming off sence the one lugnut came along has been way to much!
They had to do it because the new wheels are larger and heavier and the single nut is huge so it has a lot more clamping force than 5 little lug nuts do. The only way they could go back to 5 lug nuts is if they also went back to 15″ wheels.
