Not if needed. It needs to happen. These cup drivers act like 8 year olds on the restarts.

I sure hope we do not go to single file restarts

This was suppose to say do not go to single file restarts.

I do think that it’s a possible change to make overall. I don’t mind double file on ovals, but on road courses due to the nature of the courses usually having long straights with large braking zones at the end of them, it just brings chaos(and Indy R.C. being notably terrible as a track with usually chaotic braking zone incidents in T1 in many series).

I know what your saying but the drivers have brakes on the cars. I also know they are their own worst enemy. But they will figure it out. I just got where I liked the road courses a whole lot better with a double file restarts and having the breaks at the end of the segments. Now they’re not brakes.

But I’m just a fan for around 45 years it’s not up to me.

@Willie Keel While I can agree, it’s not like the cars have extremely effective brakes in comparison to their weight. I’ve seen cars be able to go 340 km/h and still brake only 100 or so meters before the braking zone. NASCAR cup cars lumber into them, and with 35 of them every restart piling in, I don’t think it’s best we just let them all go in massive groups because it ends in spins and wrecks a lot.

They also need to do the same thing at COTA, too…

I want the oval back tbh

I wonder if they were to keep double file, with T1 being a issue, would running the track the other way to take T14 and have that be T1 instead (except it would be a lefthander instead of a right) make things better while keeping restarts interesting?

Brickyard 400 should return next year with Trucks and Xfinity at IRP.

I believe all road courses should have single file restarts

That won’t matter…..once they hit the re-start they will fan out and wreck each other the same in turn 1

Other motorsports fans point and laugh at the NASCAR double file wrecks. Single file restarts or at least an SRX style start where the flag man controls it would help a lot.

Please! Do this for all road/street courses!

Let’s not throw yellows either and make it real nice and dull while we’re at it

If NASCAR is going to do that, they oughta give the polesitter the winner’s trophy before the race starts.

Please single file. These cup guys just can’t be trusted on these tracks anymore.

keep it double file, it’s a part of why nascar is so exciting

Listen to the road course fans, NASCAR. They’re the reason you add those road courses in the first place. Make us stay.

Will hopefully the drivers also clean it up as well? Because single file restarts suck and I would not want to be the guys at the back of the field. huge disadvantage.
