He’s the new Mark Martin when it comes to retirement. He was supposed to retire in 2005 and raced up until 2013.

If this season is anything like last year’s postseason, I could see MTJ calling it a career after this year.

It wouldn’t surprise me if 2024 ends up being MTJ’s final season and if that is the case it will be tough to process Considering I am a HUGE MTJ Fan

I swear Truex is more indesisive than a squirrel in the middle of the road

He’s not one who can make up his mind like others. Maybe if he had a family and kids to watch them playing sports or something

he is cute too

@WhoCanKnowIt January 29, 2024 at 7:57 pm

Agreed on Willie B. If he can back up his 2023, you know he’s headed a hall of fame career and maybe multiple championships, given his age. Big shoes to fill being in the 24, but HMS might have found the right guy for the job.

Hoping for a bounce back season for Elliott and Bowman, too. Looking forward to seeing them in your power rankings!

Martin wants to retire without any fan fare. He’s not the type of guy that wants all the attention.

I hope Truex goes out on top. There’ve been too many drivers that have just faded away instead of going out on top (Kasey Kahne, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, and my favorite Ryan Newman). Hell, I aplaud Truex for waiting, and I hope he waits until mid October and if he’s got a valid shot to win it all pull the plug

I think you’re sleeping on Chase Elliott. I think he is more motivated than ever and the team wants to show that they are still #1 at Hendrick. I think Chase will have a great year. Watch out for 4-5 wins and crazy consistency. Watch out for Bad Brad Keselowski too.

Im starting to be convinced that Connor Zilisch is gonna be another one of those drivers like Kyle Larson or SVG. Put him in anything with 4 wheels and he’ll find a way to make it go fast.

I knew Connor Zilisch was a big deal and a future racing star when I saw him race in Trans-Am.

That kid is fast!

The 2023 Truex season is very relatable. Driven. Push for all you got! Hoping to recapture something so special, that there is no quit. Determined, FOCUSED! Then in the blink of an eye…we ALL know what happened with Martin. If you don’t think that affected him, you have never been there. A man can QUICKLY lose his focus, after something like that. I think he will still struggle a bit, through the first 1/3 of the season, but in the end, he will be amongst a very few, that have TWO Winston cup trophies.

Hopefully we’ll see Chase Elliott make a rebound after last year’s debacle.
