NASCAR and Netflix have delivered what seems to be a hit with both longtime NASCAR fans and casual normies who have never watched a NASCAR race in their life. It was one of the top viewed shows in many countries this week and opened up many to the actual people we see driving on track every week. But the job is not done, though NASCAR has taken a great step.

What we’re your thoughts on the new Netflix doc and marketing approach for NASCAR?
Always better for 2nd season
I love it i think its cool
I think it was a great idea. I can’t wait to see the ratings from the clash and the 500.
meh

This show was so good, even made me like denny hamlin a bit. I really hope it gets renewed for the 2nd season.
@@nathan1sixteen That’s fair
@@nathan1sixteenat least u respect him as a person. He’s also a good dad to his children
Just hearing that Days of Thunder 2 is probably still under production as we speak gives me a lot of hope! This series definitely seems to be quite the treat for fans of the sport past and present, and I hope to check it out very soon!
If only the Docuseries wasn’t permanently on Netflix only, and didn’t focus solely on the playoffs. Hopefully I’ll eventually get to see it.
Im sure if enough people show interest they’ll move to the full season.
Im sure it’ll become… available
I was skeptical, but I think it was done really well. The sport definitely can benefit hugely from this.
I think that NASCAR Days of Thunder 2 sounds awesome to me. I will definitely watch it when it comes out in movie theaters. I am a huge NASCAR fan.
High production value, taking the sport seriously, and showing off the actual drivers. Hell even Willy B & C Bell seemed to have a personality! I thought they were robots before.
We need a whole season of this. Nothing different, keep it the same and it will be amazing
This show was awesome. I hope there is a season 2. There should be even more drivers involved. It was fantastic.
I haven’t seen the show yet either. It’s great to see NASCAR get some good publicity. It’d be nice to see an uptick in ratings for the Clash and Daytona 500 at least.
People are watching this who don’t care about nascar. Hopefully it carries some momentum and nascar can up its presence
The Nascar Imax movie was really good and no one talks about it anymore.
I was a kid then and my parents took me to watch it to theater. I loved it and it was the first time I heard of NASCAR
“I am a Minnesota Vikings fan.”
I’m sorry. You know pain.
“NASCAR is just people turning left for 3 hours” —My wife and father-in-law
I’m hoping this’ll finally change their minds!
I’ve been a nascar fan my entire life and started really started watching in 2011. For the first time in my life I can honestly say that nascar could be on the verge of a renaissance.
Id say a second Renaissance tbh. Nascar used to be really good in the late 90s and 2000s. Im not saying it sucks, it just isn’t quite at the same level it was imo. Itll get back there though.
Maybe if they add hp
@@greensmoke2485 Fair enough
@@craigstephenson7676 More hp would be nice
I loved the Full Speed documentary, and I’m excited about the direction NASCAR seems to be going. I’ve been a fan since 1990, so I think 34 years qualifies me as an “old” fan, and I love the new things NASCAR is trying. Clash in LA, Netflix Doc, Chicago Street race, periodically revamping the playoff process, talks of an international race, etc. I do not want NASCAR to alienate their hard-core base, and not everything they’re doing is a home run, BUT, I do think you need to branch out if you’re going to grow the sport and expand its reach. You need new sponsors and new eyes on the sport to sustain and grow it, you can’t follow the business model of the past. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.
It’s awesome that you’re still a fan to this day. This Valentine’s Day will be my 14th anniversary of my first race. The 2010 Daytona 500
This show was awesome. I just wish it was more than 5 episodes! I anticipate next season of this show way more drivers will give access.
