You can’t stop a car going over 190 mph to never flip over. It will happen no matter what Nascar does to prevent it. It is racing, flips happen!!
And the flip was actual better than if he spun and went head on into the wall
Flips are usually safer
And even if they slowed them to 170 they would still find a way to flip
That’s why I want them to go back to being able to go 211-215 cause the cars are safe it doesn’t matter the speed they will flip, which the diffuser definitely doesn’t help but yea

Why do you think they took the ring off the COT car? This car does not belong on super speedways. It is a imsa designed car. As you can tell by the undercarriage it is flat. What happens when something goes sideways and it’s flat, it gets lift

Agreed completely a racing Incident, but that flip, that was jaw dropping, horrifying, the car shouldn’t be going airborne from literally nothing
2 cars in one weekend flipped and then got turned right side up on the same section of the backstretch.

There was a wicked head wind going down the back. That helped it flip. 207 into turn 1 with tail wind that day.
