Katherine Legge will be back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Cup Series ride, landing a seat in the No. 78 car with Live Fast Motorsports on Mother’s Day weekend at Watkins Glen International.
As reported by JaySki.com, Legge is partnering with Live Fast Motorsports and Cosmetics Chevrolet to race the No. 78 car in Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen. It will be her first Cup Series race since the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October.

Legge, age 45, made her Cup Series debut last March in the 2025 Shriners Children’s 500. While she ultimately finished 30th, Live Fast Motorsports and NASCAR received some criticism for having Phoenix be her first race in the Next Gen car.
Why Watkins Glen is a Good Fit for Katherine Legge

Legge’s return behind the wheel in the Cup Series at Watkins Glen International seems to be the right fit. She brings years of experience racing on road courses, including at this very track.
She drove the No. 78 car there for LFM last year and she handled herself well in the Chicago Street Race, finishing in 19th place. She’s also made 10 career starts across her racing career there, including a GTD win with Andy Lally in the Six Hours of The Glen in 2017.
Given the improvement she showed as she gained more experience in the Cup Series, this should prove to be a good move for LFM. While the No. 78 car won’t be anywhere close to challenging for a victory, there’s at least a chance that Legge records the third top-25 finish in her Cup Series career.
