NASCAR has unveiled its first-ever Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.-branded show car, marking a historic collaboration between the motorsports organization and one of the nation’s largest Black Greek-letter organizations.
According to Watch The Yard, the custom show car made its debut during the 2026 Delta Sigma Theta South Atlantic Regional Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. The vehicle was designed by Camilla Wilkins-Bowens, a NASCAR NEXT intern and Louisiana State University student who was initiated into the Iota Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in fall 2025, according to Watch The Yard.
The activation represented a first for NASCAR at a Divine Nine event. Throughout the conference, attendees had the opportunity to see the custom Delta Sigma Theta-themed show car up close while also participating in NASCAR racing simulators, creating an interactive experience for thousands of sorority members attending the regional conference.
According to Watch The Yard, the initiative was made possible through the NASCAR NEXT Internship Program, which provides students with opportunities to work on high-profile projects and community engagement initiatives across the country.
The debut also highlights NASCAR’s continued efforts to connect with new audiences through partnerships and experiential events while showcasing the work of emerging young professionals within the sport.
Founded on Jan. 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University by 22 collegiate women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has grown into the largest sorority within the Divine Nine, with more than 350,000 members worldwide. The organization operates more than 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters throughout the United States and internationally, including chapters in Canada, Japan, Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, West Africa, Southern Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea.
