little did we know that this weekend we’d see both Truex’s in both a 19 car for JGR win at Dover

I felt it coming, today that is, since little bro won. I listen to MTJ on the scanner every race. I can tell you this, he hates this new car! He doesn’t agree with Small most of the time (they remind me of my brother and I as to what is best). Regardless, I knew he wasn’t going to let little bro show him up!
That being said, MTJ can be great if he focuses on being great, and not complaining. This is the car you have now!

Ross Chastain is like the villain that actually takes over the world with how he’s keeps getting away with his wrecking drivers

He is like a villain disguised as a nice guy!

He needs Payback and NASCAR stay the F out of the way

Reply
John Snow May 1, 2023 at 10:26 pm

He didn’t wreck the guy like Denny did the guy brake checked him into the corner and Ross couldn’t avoid him

Reply
Jeremy C May 1, 2023 at 10:31 pm

@John Snow According to Ross, it was Ross’s fault.

Reply
John Snow May 1, 2023 at 10:34 pm

@Jeremy C he is wrong he was brake checked early in the corner and couldn’t go high because larson was there. Pool should of taken the high line as a lap down slow car

KyLe IsN’t UnLuCkY hE hAs 2 WiNs yeah 3 of his 4 total DNFs (Daytona, Atlanta, Bristol dirt, Dega) were not his fault, nor were his sub-30th place finishes at Fontana and Dover. And even COTA where he finished 14th, that was only because Bubba rammed him. He’s gotten crashed out of contention 5 times and had an electrical issue the 6th. Could easily have about 4 wins on the year and be the points leader but the luck has just been terrible

Man if Kyle Larson didn’t have all that bad luck he world probably have at least 30 wins he is so talented it’s scary

Reply

@joel thenascarfansame with Bubba if he didn’t have all that bad luck he’d be 6th or 7th in points right now. LOL

Happy to see my guy MTJ FINALLY get a HUGE dub and shoutout to Larson and Reddick for holding up Chastain in the final stretch before the last caution. Was an amazing event in person

Reply
PaulJr May 1, 2023 at 10:23 pm

That was awesome. Chastain has got to clean it up

Reply
K1020 May 2, 2023 at 4:14 am

But when Chase Elliott kept Harvick behind him and helped Larson, heard a lot of criticism of Elliott. But ok for Larson and Reddick to do it.

Reply
PaulJr May 2, 2023 at 4:29 am

@K1020 no it is not ok. But Elliott and Reddick are not wreaking havoc on the track seemingly every week. Ross is a wrecking ball right now

Reply
K1020 May 2, 2023 at 4:50 am

@PaulJr Can’t stand Chastain. Now he is in the history books because of the stunt he pulled in Martinsville. He is fortunate that didn’t cause a major wreck on the last lap. So Nascar put in a rule against it. He has shown he will do anything to anybody. And the sad part is he comes away with decent finish while ruining other drivers day.

Great to see MTJ get his 32 win, Especially at Dover. I was there when MTJ got his first win at Dover.

Im a Corey Lajoie fan and this season that team and him are making strides.A win is not out of the question especially at a plate track.

Cant wait to see what he can do at KS. I went both times last year and neither turned out well for the 7. Fingers crossed

I agree. He’s been a great broadcaster on MRN, and I have no idea why he hasn’t been hired to work as a commentator on one of NASCAR’s television partners

Kinda think he’s better as a driver

My vote is we switch the Dover and Sonoma dates. Sonoma is always green in the spring vs dry and dead in the summer. Doesn’t matter if it’s raining, we have a rain package now. They should at least try it next year.

Reply
Satoshi Serena May 1, 2023 at 10:54 pm

How about putting Dover back in its traditional date the week after the Coke 600.

Reply
Prairie Farmer May 1, 2023 at 11:54 pm

@Satoshi Serena Sonoma is two weeks after so it wouldn’t make a big difference

Reply
Satoshi Serena May 2, 2023 at 12:45 am

@Prairie Farmer How about putting Sonoma as part of the west coast swing? At least it will look more beautiful because the grass will be greener.

Reply
Prairie Farmer May 2, 2023 at 12:51 am

@Satoshi Serena that works as well.

Ross cant change, beacuse of videos like this, nascar was getting stale, so many cookie cutter personalitys, ross brought personality back to nascar, and all the media snd stuff he generates proves it.

No problem with your comment, but in all honesty… NASCAR has pushed for so much parity in the cars… couple that with HMS, shows me that it is not Chase that is so good, or any of them really… it shows it is the car, not the driver.

Being there in person, you couldn’t tell that it was a Monday. It felt like a Sunday crowd from start to finish and the action did not disappoint. But this is a call to NASCAR and SMI that they NEED to move this race back to the end of May or the beginning of June. For us in the area, this is now the one decent chance to see these guys in person and it shouldn’t be sent to a Monday running almost every year!

Jeffrey deCento May 2, 2023 at 6:08 pm

Agreed! The traffic always sucks too but yesterday was so much worse, it took me an hour and a half just to leave the parking lot

Reply
PSU5324 May 2, 2023 at 8:47 pm

@Jeffrey deCento We waited about a half hour until we decided to fire up and start moving and it was another 25 minutes to get out that was after a secondary gate was finally open. Not the worst amount of time to get out, but right up there.
