i can now die in peace knowing ross chastain can win by passing denny hamlin cleanly
You were holding on that vengeance over year now god damn that’s impressive Denny
They didn’t ask the Whiner who should be suspended next week. The watermelon man still lives in Hamlins head…hahaha
I’m just happy your guy didn’t win! I thought for a moment that Denny was actually going to run away with the win until Ross’s long run speed finally kicked in and zoomed past Truex and him. I really don’t like Denny so much that it’s satisfying to see him lose.
Was there in person and man the atmosphere was awesome! Couldn’t believe how long the green flag runs were. All around great experience!
@Mac 1666Trucks are always a demolition derby.
I could see on TV those stands were packed. The race was amazing
That 3 wide battle was insane
Forgot to mention that. Yeah it was awesome!
@Eric Estepp Kyle Busch Busch finished 9th.
Best moment of the year so far
I was yelling crazy when it was going on
Can we talk about the fact that last stage went all green to the end?
I believe the last time that happened was in the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400 where Bubba Wallace won that event
First stage was all green flag laps too, wasn’t it?
@Five Speed Yep. Only incident cautions were the two in Stage 2.
And it was not boring.
Ross Chastain winning without C H A O S?!?
*Expectations subverted*
no melons were harmed during the race. Afterwards is a different story!
This should seriously help his confidence knowing that he doesn’t have to go over the line to still win! Great race!
Erik Jones got a top ten in a legacy motor club car! Thats what you forgot !
For sure! Great run for him
@Eric Estepp finally something good happens for Legacy
Could absolutely care less. They’re going to be part of the evil empire next year and I can’t and won’t support them anymore cuz I despise Toyota so much that I don’t support their drivers even if they are nice like Bell for an example. LMC is dead to me!
@Cole Murray so your telling me that if Hendrick announced that they were switching to Toyota next year you wouldn’t support them either
@Marc Kerns Yeah. Besides, Hendrick will never turn their back on Chevrolet like LMC now did cuz they’re loyal to the bow tie. Chevrolet will be nothing without Hendrick in NASCAR and Chevrolet will also be nothing without Penske in IndyCar, get it?
Ross is a very talented driver as we all know he just had to race cleanly n today he did in dominating fashion. This race was good better than I expected but these cars need hp back in them so drivers can definitely get bigger runs off the top side.
Nah. I think at some tracks, more HP would ruin the racing too.
I think Hendrick locked something into his mind and now he’s learning how to race cleanly and so far there’s a Big future for him
@Easy E Networkmore horsepower means more tire wear, more skill needed when the tires wear out to control the car. More hp means that talent will come into play MUCH more, because people will be able to overshoot corners to overtake people that can’t control the car as good. High hp NASCARs we’re always the most entertaining races to watch with the most passing. Every single current and former nascar driver agrees with this sentiment, just go watch Dale Jr download…
This was definitely The Best Nashville Superspeedway race ever
And I would LOVE to see Nashville Superspeedway replacing Phoenix as the Championship Race or Nashville Fairgrounds
Especially Considering that The Awards Banquet is in Nashville
Would be kinda cold in Nashville that time of the year, but that would be fun.
That I can actually get down with
That would’ve been a slam dunk but then SMI came in and bought it
Wouldn’t even say 50%. I watched it on TV It sounds like a commercial for Chevy and Toyota. Yes, Fords aren’t doing that great, but I don’t need a Chevy crew chief or an owner telling me Ford is doing bad. I had to turn down the sound. Maybe, Fox is bad in announcing, but NBC isn’t much better.
NASCAR fan since 1970 (12 years old), I loved it, but now I rather watch local racers at local tracks.
@Arthur Passeri Toyotas in particular get a lot of attention. I can understand people getting tired of seeing and hearing about them.
In 2023 NO EXCUSE to not have safer barrier on all interior and exterior walls
Wasn’t that safe for barrier mandated on all tracks with concrete barriers that could be struck by cars traveling at high speed especially on the restart I’m sorry but that’s total brain damage there I’d be surprised if we don’t hear Ryan blaney sitting out the next couple weeks because of a concussion Jesus don’t hurry up and fix the front of that car NASCAR man put safer barriers up did not Dale Earnhardt teach us anything.
@DRIVERS LQQK im just glad it happend on a restart. I can’t even imagine if they were at full speed.
Racing was REALLY good, least on TV. I know you said you were doing off of memory but I was stoked to see KB get 9th after all said and done. Had the spin out issue not happened on the restart, I think he could’ve gotten a top 5 easy, he was making up solid ground in the last 3rd of the race.
I also think Chase had a better car than 4th maybe.
The postrace was fantastic! Overall, this was streets ahead of Fox’s production
I love that I didn’t have to channel surf looking for a non-existent post race show
The coverage of the commercials was excellent. Too bad NBC was too preoccupied with all that, to show the race.
@Gary Jackson No kidding, There was a race to promote commercials. Sad to have a good part of the race where the two front runners were coming up on lap cars and wait, we have to have a nascar commercial!
Yes. Lets have hours of post race coverage, but start race coverage just before the green flag. Who needs to know anything before the start like say fuel range.
Ross Chastain drove beautifully tonight!
NBC did very well tonight!! Commentating was on point, and the box view of the battles were really nice! And I believe the only time NBC went full screen commercial was after a yellow flag pit stop. Great start to NBC’s coverage!
My NBC was just blur. I need Fox. At least they can run a TV station.
No prerace hurts too, as you are lacking certain information that puts you behind at the start.
Are you for real? NBC sucks. They spend more time talking about themselves than the race… of course… that’s when they aren’t on commercial break!
Wish FOX covered the entire season.
@Barbara JohnsonFox cannot broadcast a race though. NBC gives you good angles and better commentating.
There were 5 commercials in the first 30 laps
That was incredible race at Nashville. It was grimacing and more. So I’ll give a 85.6%. We hope will comeback next year again and again.
This is my first season watching NASCAR and I’m a Chastain fan. What we saw was the evolution of Ross into a top-tier driver. He’s always had the talent, but now he has the discipline to match. I’ll be remembering this moment for a long time.
If he can win a title this year, definitely.
I love Ross man. You won’t find anybody in the cup series who wears his heart on his sleeve more than Ross does after a win.
AJ Allmdinger really shows emotions. In my opinion more than Ross
Definitely agree on Aj. Either love watching both win
I forgot about AJ love him too he also had a good run getting a top 10
Ross is a Cup series driver with a ton of talent. Tonight proved he can get the job done just simply racing good and smart. The 3 wide battle was great, the five lap side by side with the 11 and 19 was great. Good race all around.
NBC was on point this weekend. Coverage was amazing and really gave a great look a drivers all throughout the field. Plus, the commercials didn’t feel intrusive, especially when Harvick got his flat and the cut the commercial break and when back to the track, that was a nice change from Fox. And the icing on the cake had to be there post race coverage. It was good to actually hear from the top ten after the race. Denny gave great insight and Truex you could tell was emotional after last night. 10/10 on the broadcast.
