Bad decision to start the race at 5 p.m. eastern time.
This season has been filled with rain delays…
The issue isn’t rain, but lightning. Remember that at a Pocono race a decade ago, a fan was killed by lightning.
@Adam Moreira There was? All I was saying was there had been a lot rain this season. That makes me understand the cautions better. I feel bad for the people involved in that lightning strike.
Okay Then Tomorrow it is.
Womp womp
waah, waah, waah, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Guys I really wanted to see the cars race at this track because it’s new. But we will have to be patient and wait for tomorrow. See ya tomorrow! And if anyone complains about not seeing this race today just be patient and wait for tomorrow ok?
No
The race is going well
I’ll be watching the cup race tomorrow.
do stockcars attract lightning? people drive fast and crazy when it rains here in chiraq, they also walk and sleep on the streets in the weather.
Not really but the lightning rule still applies regardless
Bud, the lighting rule was made a thing due to the fact that someone was struck and killed by a lighting strike in the parking lot of Pocono a few years ago.
You guys can watch the F1 race in Austria tomorrow morning to tide yourself over until this race restarts
Not a good start Chicago.
A couple of laps short of an official race today. Finish it tomorrow.
I understand the potential for incident with lightning, but NASCAR doesn’t do rain either for the most part, if were showers no lightning would they have cut wet tires or would they abandon as usual?
They would race. It’s only on Ovals that they stop racing for rain nowadays.
F2 , F1, Xfinity, Indy, Cup. Happy raceday all!
Poor babies the rain makes sugar plumbs melt
What could they do. Safety first. Track will be in prime condition for the Cup cars.
Right, bet there wasn’t a single bolt the rest of the day.
Hope it’s better today, what little racing we did get in yesterday was like watching paint dry. No passing, no side by side racing and the cautions were taking 15 minutes.
There might be less passing from the upcoming Cup Series race. But we shall see.
NASCAR is getting exactly what it deserves for this asinine idea.
The sun is shining at Road America…
