If anyone from NASCAR not coming from INDY first can do it, this guy can. If he is in the race I will watch.
Jimmy Johnson tried it, but I don’t think he was all that successful. Still, we must give him credit for trying.
Here’s a way of looking at it. Comparing a NASCAR racecar to an IndyCar racecar is like trying to compare a .22 rifle to an RPG launcher!

This clip proves that an IndyCar driver doesn’t simply climb into one of these cars. The driver is, quite literally, wearing the car, just as we would wear a change of clothing. That’s how tight these cockpits are. The driver and the car literally become one.
If you suffer from claustrophobia, then the cockpit of an IndyCar or Formula 1 race car is not the place for you. The cockpit of these race cars surrounds you like a cocoon.
