They are saving so much fuel the have forgotten it is a race. 175mph laps at Daytona??? That speed is from the early 60’s. Sad.

What a “Boring” start of this race.

Sadly……This is just about the only one I watch. Only because of tradition. But I still hate stage racing. Dump the stages. RUN THE RACE, start to finish. That’s racing.

Yeah that is racing in the purest form.

I quit watching when they went to “stage racing”……only reason I’m on here now because it came up on my cellphone…..looks like an expensive “sport” !

@@barrysmith4863 Stage Racing kinda artificially scripts racing.

So watch Indycar.
Stage racing is the same as the restarts after yellow. You still gotta run to the end to win.

Watched the last 10 laps Daytona 500 isn’t that important anymore!. It’s wrecking not racing Don’t need to watch nothing but the last 10 when they all wreck. Every year! Wreck, Wreck just stupid

I don’t know if this is a race or a DEMOLITION DERBY – you have too many cars and not enough track- they need to do something to really make it a competitive race and not just a race by attrition – the last car running- hell to lead the race and then get in a pileup out of your control.

It’s insane when I see that grass where Dale Earnhardt came to rest in his last race. RIP Intimidator #3 4-life

Let’s get a HEMI out there and see a real race! Stellantis… Get of your A**. Good entertaining race, AJ, great run! Top 5 and leading laps. I’m looking forward to seeing you win this Xfinity race coming up!

In regards to the 2024 Daytona 500.
I would be ashamed to think I was a champion who “WON” that race.
Anyone still moving could have won, it doesn’t count.

I would be irritated to have spent money to attend the Daytona 500 and have it end the way it did. Boring

I haven’t watched for a few years. What happened to the announcers? They were silent most of the race. Is this a new thing or were they taking naps?
