The next generation car is junk. There’s no manufacturer competition

It was so much better when there were only 3 cars finishing on the lead lap.

They’re still pushing,draughting, blocking, passing, bump n run and wrecking for no reason, ain’t that NASCAR?

@evanjonez914 February 26, 2024 at 9:26 pm

@@Phuc_Yhou people just like to complain that the old days were better, which they were but times change. People need to deal with it or stop watching

Agreed ! Haven’t been so nervous or excited in the closing laps since I don’t remember when .
Being happy with the outcome was the cherry on top of a great race !

37 drivers? We ain’t even got 40 no more , sheesh

@Tobytrippy February 26, 2024 at 10:07 pm

Used to be a field of 43 every Sunday

Reply
@LordBurger February 27, 2024 at 2:19 pm

hey less backmarkers randomly wrecking, smaller fields are plenty helpful to the sport

Reply
@Tobytrippy February 27, 2024 at 3:30 pm

@@LordBurger you do have a point because out of those 43 there were at least 3-4 start and park teams

shame i cant watch nascar in australia without shelling out a fortune for sports streaming services (cause im paying for all the other sports i dont care about too) – cause even from that little bit of footage that looked like some epic racing.

That last lap was the only exciting part. Hate the take a break 3 times system. It’s not Nascar. No strain on machines or drivers anymore makes Nascar boring. The point system sucks. Go back to the old format for the sake of the fans. F1 IS MUCH MORE EXCITING.

Right cuz watching the same driver win every race is exciting.

the racing was one of the most exciting we have ever seen in the next gen. i like f1 more because they handle storylines and coverage better. but the racing itself is usually incredibly boring after the first 2 laps. nascars racing tends to be much better. if i were given the choice between talladega and las vegas, monza, or silverstone in person. regardless of price, im going to dega every time because the actual racing product is so much better than any other motorsport. maybe apart from indycar

I wasn’t too impressed most of the race. I haven’t been a fan of this form of racing since the Gen 4 cars.

But then we hit 30 to go.

What happend from that point on is some of the best racing I’ve seen in Georgia in a long, long time.

Crazy as the race for the finish was, what passes under the radar is that the first 9 cars were all in 3-wide races to the line. Haven’t seen anything like it since the tandem racing finish at Talladega years ago.

I’m simply a fan of motorsports. I may have my issues with this car and the packages they run, but… when it yields these kinds of results, it’s hard to argue that NASCAR isn’t putting on the best show they can.

Glad to be going back to a standard 1.5 mile package this week, but I can’t deny that new Atlanta is now best Atlanta.

Yeah but it use to be a nail biter through the entire race from first green flag to last second like this. Your comment shows why no one’s watching these days.

Yes it was an amazing finish, enjoyed the race immensely. However Kyle Petty you’re saying they were 37 of the best race car drivers in the world is just plain ignorance. There are drivers who might be considered to be among the best, but none of them outside of maybe Kyle Larson can be the best and certainly some I wouldn’t consider close to being among that special group of drivers. The world is a big place and there are 100’s of thousands of drivers.

37 of the best, not the 37 best. his english is absolutely correct
