If a team uses up all their allowed tires is there a way a team could receive a final new tire set at a financial & or points cost from nascar or are/is team just out of the race?

MTJ deserves better than the lack of communication. He was driving on that last set pf tires like they were new
his crew chief is what happened. didn’t even tell him what they just gave him until after the race. crew chief, gave him a set of tires that had 7 laps on them already and didn’t mention it to truex at all…. no chance… didn’t’ know to clean up the tires real well didnt’ know he was going to not be driving on fresh tires… didn’t’ know why his car was all over the place….. 0 idea until he was going wtf on the radio about it. this segment with this random dude and this graphic.. (cool but not the real reason) was nonsense. and not what happened.
