As a young dad now I can tell you for sure your dad loved you more than anything else in the world and thats why he was willing to make the sacrifices he did for you. No need to do something crazy with it unless thats just what you want. If it were me I would restore it to a condition that best brings back the memories you and your dad shared in it. I imagine everything from the odd smells, to the sound of the starter, and everything in between bring back memories and emotions from the time you spent together. Let it be a time capsule.

James…you create such positive content…but this, this is by far your best…raw, honest, sincere, passionate and full of love…honour your Dad by restoring it to its original state…keep those memories alive, all be them “polished” up…on a side note, next month marks 30yrs since my father passed…I too haven’t stopped missing him…your video moved me to tears…keep on being you, your Dad is smiling at the son he has.

An absolutely deserving person and I know for a FACT that you inspired at least someone to do the exact same thing. I personally say return it to perfect working condition, while repairing whatever needs fixing but leaving as much original things intact to keep it as “original” as possible. Whatever you decide to do, your dad is surely happy you’re alive and thriving.
