It’s not what’s up with Kyle Busch
It’s what’s up with RCR

Didn’t Kyle Busch win 3 races last year? Same amount as 2022 and 2021 combined.

@@mistageeb We are only 7 races in 2024. Having said that, the drivers to have won is Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and Daniel Suarez. William Byron and Denny Hamlin being the only two at the moment to win more than one.

A little bit of both. The next gen car has thrown KB for a loop and rcr just sucks

should be an interesting race … hope some one jumps Denny… hehe

I really think Preece or Berry are putting it together this race. I call last year a critical mistake thinking the 41 could just full throttle out of pit road, else it’s likely he runs away to contend for the win

…more importantly I just want a decent race man. I don’t necessarily want to poach a legacy track like this of a date, but if the miserable short track performances continue then it’s inevitable

Thing I have best known with Ryan Preece is his run in with Kyle Larson last year.

I feel like the issue with Kyle busch is
1: Lack of Practice which throughout his Career has been Crucial to him
2: RCR Giving him Shitboxes and not knowing how to give him a Race winning car
3: RCR is way to far behind HMS And trackhouse in the G7 car

Reply
@xavierjuno4572 April 4, 2024 at 4:44 pm

Number 3 is saying something considering that initially Trackhouse got their equipment from RCR (I don’t know about their equipment now though)

Reply
@mistageeb April 4, 2024 at 4:44 pm

Both 2 and 3 exhibits are the same but yeah RCR is literally Mid

Reply
@xavierjuno4572 April 4, 2024 at 5:01 pm

@@mistageeb I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised considering that from day one, RCR always had drivers that made equipment better than it actually is (and I’m not just talking about Dale Earnhardt Sr either)

As far as Ford drivers who haven’t won this year, I would be up for Noah Gragson, Josh Berry, Chase Briscoe and Michael McDowell in particular to win this upcoming Sunday.

As a lifelong RCR fan. I mean 30+ years. Sadly it’s not a Kyle Busch issue. It’s a RCR issue. As far as my home track of good ole Martinsville. I think a Ford does breakthrough. If I was a betting man. I’d put the money Logano. But Berry will make it interesting in that snazzy gold car.

Breaking: NASCAR has announced that they will no longer adjudicate on restarts. Called the Wild West Rule, drivers will now be able to start whenever and wherever the heck they want.

The problem with Kyle Busch is that he’s exactly the same racing driver as Sebastian Vettel. Both drivers liked oversteer under the condition that the car has rear and security. When they were given that, they’re just as good as any driver that came before them. Vettel’s security came from the blown diffuser from ‘09-‘13 and Kyle’s came from the fender flare from ‘06-‘18. While there was still flared fenders in ‘19-‘21, the 550hp wasn’t enough power for Kyle Busch to pitch the car into the slip angle he wanted in the middle of the corner (Johnson suffered from this as well but didn’t need nearly as much rear end security). Kyle tends to play catch-up with the throttle when the setup or car isn’t to his liking and feels the need to brake extremely late and get on the power early to the point that he’ll lift off the throttle on corner exists and kill his straight line speed (watch literally any track less than a mile and a half during practice). Vettel had a very aggressive V shaped racing line into many corners and while they both are short corner drivers (spending the least amount of time at the moment of rotation) they never were the best drivers to get the car settled in the middle of the corner which is why they both spun or lost the car in the middle of the corner more times than a Jeff Gordon or Alan Prost. Gordon and Prost never leaned on the tires as much as Vettel or Busch through corners and both had really good platforms (flat car) which produced a more evened out tire wear over a fuel run compared the Busch and Vettel. Although this a driving style analysis, RCR definitely has lost speed year over year in the next gen era and gets majority blame since they’re on the same tier as Hendrick. The lack of practice does mean that car feedback is limited for Busch (ironically I rate both Vettel and him on setup feedback) but they haven’t had a test in where they hit the setup for a specific type of track in awhile. 60% RCR, 30% Austin Dillion, and 10% Kyle Busch is to blame

Josh Berry will excel here, right in his wheelhouse as a former pavement super late model driver. Raced on tracks like this all the time. Look for him to have a big day

Buescher as a favorite and Berry this weekend as a long shot. Speaking of Ford drivers it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Austin Cindric beyond this season. Remember he signed a year extension and said he has to perform this year. He’ll take himself out of the 2 if a win or playoff berth doesn’t happen guaranteed.
