Don’t get why they fined gase. All the publicity for the sport and they fine him. Reminds me of 1979 Daytona 500
I agree, but I also understand the safety concerns. NASCAR doesn’t want guys walking towards traffic.
Dangerous you could get hit
@@EricEstepp100% agree with what you said of how he walked so low on the track
@EricEstepp u just said yourself tho how come austin dillon didn’t get fined then for same thing they tend to like going after small guys a lot
I think that’s why the fine was so low.
Good ole Hamlin, stoking the flames like usual. I mean, just because you’re the “villain” of NASCAR, doesn’t mean you actually need to be a bad guy.
And once again, Elton Sawyer isn’t doing himself any favors with his explanation for allowing it.
He knows how to be entertaining. I’ll give him that haha
@@aiwash2766 Jeez dude, I’m not a Denny hater. I’m just calling it how it is, grow up man. Apologists are just as bad as the haters.
@@aiwash2766finally someone else says it
@@EricEstepp Lmfao, that’s true.
Briscoe won’t leave SHR. I mean maybe, but HIGHLY unlikely, i mean, maybe? If there is indeed questions around Briscoe, then there is still as many questions around SHR as there is around Kaulig, this could be setting up to be one of the WILDEST silly seasons we’ve ever seen with sweeping changes.
I’d be shocked! But maybe it comes down to what Ford wants?
Have you, uhhhh, talked to Briscoe about it?
Tony Stewart’s helmet throw was before the other Tony Stewart thing that forced the rule.
ohh, it took me a second but that fits
The image from the iRacing video game looks very similar to the Team Penske shop, with the four cars lined up 4-wide, the red tool boxes behind the cars, and the catwalk. If this is the case, I hope they have other team shops, at least the ones that you can see in person when you visit (like JGR, SHR, Trackhouse, etc.).
Good point with the ball/strike call analogy— this situation is similar to MLB umpires reviewing a home run. Did it go over the wall or not? It shouldn’t be that hard to tell.
The only way Briscoe leaves SHR is if his contract is with Ford, and if SHR switches to Chevy, then he’s probably out. At that point, who knows where he could go.
Sh racing selling out..Tony a drag racer now & could care less wat nascar has become..2025 it will be called haas racing
I think he would return to dirt track racing full time. He was trying to transition from midgets/sprints to late models until his nascar performance dipped, rumor is ts said focus on cup
If Briscoe is under contract to Ford and SHR switches manufacturers, then he will likely replace Harrison Burton in the 21 car.
Why? Even the most popular drivers in the world change manufacturer from time to time.
denny hamlin telling fans to “get over it” is like telling people drink socono fuel…
they won’t…
This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in while
I’m not even a nascar fan really anymore and I criticize them all the time but they should get over it, they made a bad call, it was close, move on. Hamlin still drove away and won
What’s “socono fuel” …. is that Taiwanese?
@@3120DownForce he meant sunoco I think
I can’t believe there is this much drama over this restart. Obviously Hamlin had the winning car at the end. And the hate directed at him is low iq, it’s nascars job to enforce the rules
If Nascar doesn’t review late race moments because they don’t want to officiate something, we’ll then congratulations Brandan Poole, you won that Talladega race
CLINT BOWYER WON THAT KANSAS RACE
Spingate never happened
Check out the eldora million film floracing put up on their channel. Really well done. The full modified race from richmond is on there too, race of the weekend imo
Modifieds are almost always the best show on shared weekends. They are absolutely magic at New Hampshire.
tour type mods always put on a good show
410 sprint car racing has been really fun to watch the past few years
@MarkStavely I know. Haven’t seen a bad show yet from WoO, High limit or USAC yet this year its awesome
1. For Chase Briscoe, I would also be shocked if SHR let him go, especially since he’s practically the face of the team now. I feel like he’s been Tony Stewart’s protégé since coming to the team, and I feel like Chase will be there as long as Tony’s there.
2. 100% agree with the penalty for Joey Gase. Walking that far into traffic is just dangerous, so a small $5000 (what I’d call a “slap on the wrist”) fine is justified. Something not incredibly harmful to the team or driver, but something to say “this is dangerous, don’t do it again.” I do like that Joey posted on his Twitter/X that he’s looking for “bail bond companies” to sponsor him this week. LOL
3. Can’t wait for the new iRacing game! I’d love to see some streams of it when it comes out Eric!
4. Love the new #4 paint!
…and 5. Ugh, okay, I’m with Denny at this point, let’s stop talking about this! Yes, he jumped early. No, NASCAR isn’t going to do anything about it except keep fumbling with what they say about it… I honestly hope next season, we get a new rule or something to make it clear cut about restarts once and for all. I feel like the past few years have been a bit weird, so lets just have a clear zone where the leader controls the field to and starts/restarts the race. No more of this nonsense of “well it’s the last few laps” or “it was close enough” or “he didn’t get enough of a start so the other driver jumped him and it’s fine” or whatever. Clearly marked zone (maybe extended a bit again), leader is the one to start, no jumping, no nonsense. And note I said “next season” because I really don’t want them to just throw out a new rule mid season…
Whelen modified race at richmond was awesome, it’s definitely the cars and not the track people
Richmond used to be good in cup, it’s always been the cars
Selfishly as a dirt track fan i hope briscoe dosn’t get re-signed and starts racing dirt late models full time
as a Flag man and should be the one in race restart control….i would have immediately threw the caution back out, and made them line back up and restart all over again. and kept them tightened up or i wasn’t throwing the green when i saw the leader go in the right area. as it should be for every track everyrace. there is no “urgency” there is only consistent. their only urgency was how can we f this up today….they were pretty consistent and making questionable calls since drivers start your engines…
About 2 hours later, NASCAR would fire you and you’d be driving home.
I know it’s not in your wheelhouse but if you did a stream on the world of outlaws console game that would be sick, really enjoy that game. Hope SHR sticks with chase
Not happening. There are many other more informed content creators to look to. Like you said, it’s not his wheelhouse.
4:38 that rule didn’t come about until the Kevin Ward Jr incident so that wouldn’t have affected the Stewart/Kenseth issue
This is going to be interesting if NASCAR is put in a position to make a similar call at any point this year
